!!!!!!!Timor Appreaciation Thread!!!!!!
Wouldn't it be awesome if she released it/performed it publicly around the time of the 2008 Olympics in China, due to their repression of people and our governments inability to try and do anything about it - I think it'd hit home to some people :D

What's came out of 00s so far?
I honestly feel that for the most part, music has become so faceless, so corporate. I can barely think of any music that's really changed or defined the era. There's nothing particularly new or refreshing. 90s > 00s

Korean Superstar BoA To Launch An English Career
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/6839/51saqnuzoulxg8.jpg The Face of Asia, BoA, is due to release her first English album to meet her US debut. The album is produced by Peter Rafelson, who also helped Madonna produce "Open Your Heart" back in 1985. She is currently flying between Australia and Thailand to finish her recordings. There has been plans for BoA to venture into the US and Australia market, and now it is being implemented. There had been lots of Korea singers failing to make a hit in the US market after heaps of news explaining the plan to do so, but BoA's case is different as she has already been close to finishing the album. BoA is one of Asia's biggest stars, and has made history in her illustrious eight year career. She is fluent in four languages, and has conquered the charts in Korea, Japan and China some of her chart smashes: VALENTI srJlv19Wh3s Dakishimeru aOEUtXE2QW0 DO THE MOTION T8iKcJ1Wr24 Girls On Top FokCBvZ7nlQ

Rie-fu
Okay it seems that there won't be a lead single for the album, and unless stated all songs are in Japanese, which means only ''Decay'' is in English. Good-bye any chance of commercial success...but I still cannot wait <3

Sakai, who despite her success lived a life shrouded in privacy, tragically passed away last year. She has sold over 40 million records, and was the biggest selling female of the 1990's. The new album contains songs [some live] of what her fans in Japan believed to be her best. Last week's #1 manages to outsell the second highest new entry of the week, tohoshinki 'T'. The Korean boyband managed their first #1 singles last week. Unfortunately, the album doesn't fare quite as well, debuting at #4. In the lower end of the top 10 are four new entries, as well as the biggest selling of 2008 so far, by Exile. It seems they have plenty more in store for the year also. The singles containa surprise at the top. Although ketsumeishi were expecting #1, it seems they have to settle for second place, as RADWIMPS claim the top spot by just under 10k more. Reigning JPop Queen Koda Kumi faires very well with 'Anytime' considering her new album 'Kingdom' is released this week, and looks likely to open to huge numbers, but will it hit a million? Idol group Idoling make a welcome entry in the top 10, and GReeeeN manage a second week in.
