NICKY!! How are you!? I have only just realised I never responded to the pm you sent me about a month ago, so sorry
  4. 46 BOØWY http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5426/bowyml2.jpg BOØWY is a rock band that reached legendary status in Japan during the 80's. They're style of play varied from punk to pop rock and they had fans of all ages. The 90's band movement was credited to BOØWY as they made being in a band look cool. Musical instrument sales hit an all time high during the 90's and the record companies signed and debuted 80 bands during the 90's in hopes of finding a new BOØWY. If you have never heard BOØWY, I feel sorry for you. Their music has that timeless, classic feel about it, plus their lead singer was a so called 'King of Cool.' They have done ever so much for the music industry, and generally rock <3 WAGAMAMA JULIET roby3zVUmRI
  5. 47 Ami Suzuki http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/4667/suzkrz3.jpg The story of Ami Suzuki is probably one of the most saddening of the modern music industry. In 1999 she was top of the world, rivalling Ayumi Hamasaki in terms of popularity, and was selling millions. However, it turned out that her record label [sony] was barely paying her any money, despite over 10 million sales. A court case ensued. Although she won, she was blacklisted by the Japanese entertainment industry, and never recovered. She started a comeback in 2005, but unfortunately has never reached the same heights pre-blacklisting. Ami Suzuki is living proof of how harsh the entertainment industry can be. I personally have never been a fan of her pre-avex works. However, her debut Avex album 'AROUND THE WORLD' is a wonderful dance/trance album. Although follow up 'CONNETTA' was dirge, follow up singles 'FREE FREE/SUPER MUSIC MAKER' have re-ignited my love for her, her unique voice, and her catchy music. FREE FREE mW4pgyKTPJ0
  6. 48 Enter Shikari http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/4796/entersvr2.jpg There is something about them that makes them completely awesome. I've liked them since last year, but really got into them when their debut album 'Take To The Skies' was released. I enjoy how they move between quite melodic singing to screaming, plus the use of synthesizers is very good. Mothership 1UWAzFOK4YA

Warren!? O= Nooo, Ste is lush, as is the new emo boy, and Josh <3
  8. 49 WaT http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5308/watni8.jpg WaT are male duo Wents Eiji & Teppei Koike. They are the best of friends both on and off stage. there music could be described as melodic pop/rock. I wouldn't really say that they are groundbreaking, but they are very good at what they do, and they don't have a song I dislike. The fact that they are both ever so attractive probably helps them also. Look out for Koiki-san further ahead in my list.. Bokura no Love Story Iat9gH9Oheg
  9. Just to let you know, it won't all be done tonight xD 50 Alicia Keys http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/7553/aliciasw6.jpg Well starting at number 50 is the wonderful and talented Alicia Keys. Easily one of the best artists to come out of the U.S of our generation, she easily shines over the rest of the R&B female dirge around today. The Diary Of... is an especially amazing album. If you don't like her, you need your head testing, to put it politely. Karma X_SmJpAmirw
  10. Welcome! Much consideration has gone into this list. Wether you agree with it or not does not matter. It will not only give you the chance to perhaps discover someone new, or share your opinions of an artist I name. It includes many genres, ranging from pop, to Rock, to Experimental, to Latin and so forth.. all comments welcome =D

This reminds me so much of Oral Fixation vol 2 in terms of promotion + speed of releases. Perhaps they are planning a re-release?
  12. Thanks! I haven't following the chart this week, but it doesn't seem very exciting YUI seems to be holding up very well considering she isn't normally so consistant. I really have never liked Laruku, I just don't get them. At one point they got so awful even their fans realised D: I assume this upseurge is due to the 15th Anniversary [in part]. Glad YUKI and Ai are holding up well in the albums, I want the 5 Star collection, but I have many things as well as it to buy, so it must wait  Where did Ayaya end up? :( Egao was a really great song, as were all her other singles, but 'Double Rainbow' is one of the dullest things i've ever heard. Hope ABS do well next week, and Tackey & Tsubasa. Also hope C*ute do well, gotta love H!P  Oh, and thank you for the 'Golden Best' sales in the previous thread =D

Wow, the movie looks so good! & the song has a very traditional Spanish feel to it. I think it's a bit early to be talking about Oscar nominations. From what i've heard though, there is oscar buzz around the movie, so there is a chance of a nomination in the Original Soundtrack field.
  14. Ahh right, thanks for info :D I wasn't sure whether her studio albums had began selling more again since her death, I heard a rumour that she had sold a million since her death, but I guess that is untrue.

So many applicants for reviews forum, time to add another D: ~ Position applied for: Reviews Forum Member Display Name: Exodus Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum? Well I think it's a good thing that a forum now exists where people are able to share their opinions without fear of abuse hurled by other members simply because they don't agree with what was said. Reviews enable people to see things from different perspectives and also share their opinions in a formal manner. I believe I would be suitable as I have moderated in the past, create reviews about arists which were previously unheard of by members on the forum, and also attract new members to the site. People like to look for reviews on products before they buy. I also like to believe I have a good grasp of the english language, which helps when writing a review  What do you feel you would bring to the forum? I believe that if I was a moderator of this forum I would moderate this forum well, i.e. allow other people to have their opinions, reviews of a high standard, a friendly atmosphere and generally run it well. It would be interesting to see comments on other peoples [and my own] reviews, to see their opinions. What experience do you have? Moderated the Shakira forum, Jackson Family forum, and was also an OF Leader How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week? Well i'm on the internet quite a bit each day for work purposes plus other things, so I check the site regularly. Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum? If you post news already - please provide a link to one story** Indeed I could, have done so before, will do so again xD

I don't exactly see how much scandal can come of this if it is from the Magia/Peligro period of her career. I mean, don't we already know most of it? Plus she was 13, I hardly think she was up to much  However, the book next year should be pretty interesting I would imagine..

It's mind blowing how much better she seems to get as time goes along. I seriously think she is the female of our generation in terms of sheer quality of music, and brilliant vocals <3
  19. Kelis off that list. however, the best R&B/Hip Hop song of the year is blatantly Namie Amuro Hide&Seek <333 VCypwxvvCEs Also Alicia keys new song pisses over most R&B songs released this year

Awwe, I love Mrs Barnes :(
  21. I really do agree with you ^ It will never die. Unfortunately it's been so overplayed it's lost any meaning it once had.

It's awful, just like everything else she's ever done bar ''Confide In Me'' & ''Where The Wild Roses Grow''.
