They filmed a lot of stuff post-bad, Jaafar posted BTS pics of him in the Dangerous era. They had to stop midway through due to legal issues and then Frankenstein-d whatever footage was left into the theatrical released film, in that sense it’s very similar to what happened to the 2017 Justice League film.

Not quiet the same imo, since all of those tracks except Ordinary had legitimate cultural moments allowing them to re-enter the top 40. That’s different than RMI just narrowly managing to avoid ACR every other week.

Guys I know DOMO is Robyn’s song, i put the eye roll emoji in my post because that’s what I imagine the average summertime ball goer will think when she performs it. Speaking from experience as the amount of people I know who are disappointed she ‘ruined it’ by ‘making it uptempo’. 🙄

Robyn is such an odd choice for this. Correct me if I’m wrong I can’t recall the station playlisting her in at least a decade. I’m 99% the audience would think she’s doing a cover of the Callum Scott song (🙄) when she performs Dancing on My Own.

I wasn’t familiar with this Take That song but I can hear the similarities even if there isn’t an official sample credit. If this song occurred post-Blurred Lines then a sample credit would’ve absolutely happened.

not surprising Human Nature is the track rising so fast after seeing the film. Its one of only two songs where the entire track is performed in the film (alongside Bad).

I need this to avoid ACR just for one more week until the Girls Trip remix with PinkPantheress (out May 1st) sends the song into the top ten.

Does the BPI certified site just not work for anyone else now on mobile and tablet devices? I tried to get into the search bar features and it just kept not allowing it.

If I had a penny from every best one of the best pop songs of the year (Click Clack Symphony & One Of Your Girls) rose to #11 in it’s second and was blocked from the top ten by a song featuring Jung Kook at #10 in its debut week. I would have two pennys, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice.

I think that was purely on technicality though. Since there was four versions of the songs that gained significantly - LAP album, Immaculate collection version, Celebration version and the choir version on D&W soundtrack.

112 Top 100 on OCC probably guaranteed.

I completely forgot about Bieber’s features also charting due to the 3 song rule as well. Eenie Meenie & Let Me Love You are probably safe for a reset. Maybe Where Are U Now and Stay as well depending on how OCC decides to class those.

Actually yeah, but it’s called “bedroom pop”.

Oh that’s basically one uptempo dance pop from 2008-2013, usually with an emphasis on “tonight” and “partying”. Think most of early work from Kesha, Pitbull, LMFAO, Jason Derulo, David Guetta. And individual songs like Dynamite by Taio Cruz, Just Dance by Gaga, I Gotta Feeling etc. Never associated the genre with Beauty and The Bieb before but yeah does make sense, Zedd’s drop, the production, the lyrics. All stereotypical recession pop.

It’s just not clocking to the general public.
