  1. I can’t at Stranger Things taking so long between seasons airing that the Kate Bush isn’t eligible for an automatic reset anymore.
  2. The drum loop on nobody’s girls remind of another track and it’s been annoying me all week I can’t figure what it is.
  3. Same, I’m the type of person whose Christmas listening / playlists has little to no "big" Christmas songs, instead filled jazzy great American songbook classics, folksy ballads and basically anything that sounds like it could be an X Factor winners single.
  4. Bit of a clunky edit of For Good but expected for a 6 minute track
  5. That finale "Again" on No Good Deed is so fabulous.
  6. It’s been gaining traction on all platforms since she performed on Saturday Night Live last week.
  7. It’s so funny to me that all of her hits (this, water, push 2 start) are these bright summery dance bops and they always start peaking in November.
  8. Why is this getting revived like this all of a sudden? Not complaining though.

lol at the only change being a Halloween song replaced by a Christmas song.
  10. True, just funny to me that music that can (and typically does) get listened to all year round just becomes canonised as Christmas music as well. On Apple biggest holiday playlist "Christmas Hits" all of those six aforementioned tracks are there, alongside other less obvious non-Christmas songs but are apparently associated with the winter months now - Sugababes "Too Lost In You"; Labrinth & Emeli Sande's Beneath Your Beautiful"; One Direction's "Night Changes"; Paloma Faith's "Only Love Can Hurt Like This", Little Mix’s "Love Me Like You" and James Arthur & Anne Marie cover of "Rewrite the Stars"
  11. It’s so funny to me that the East 17, Spice Girls and Steps songs have become Christmas classics purely because they have snow in the music videos.
  12. Need RAYE to go #1 so badly, terrific track and would be great to see two British women number 1 (as leads) in the same calendar year again (hasn’t happened since Raye herself, Dua Lipa and Kenya Grace in 2023) Hoping these can slowly creep their way to higher peaks (potentially top ten), been climbing on Apple all day - at #31 and and #45 respectively at midnight, now at #12 and #23 (no surprise since the folks that saw the film on Friday and now streaming the ost). I imagine something similar will happen when we get the Spotify updates tomorrow for Saturdays showing.
  13. Early morning update, you can see a lot of folks must’ve waited to see the film before streaming 15 Cynthia Erivo & Ariana Grande - For Good (+16) 22 Cynthia Erivo - No Good Deed (+28) 48 Cynthia Erivo & Jonathan Bailey - As Long As You’re Mine (+51) 60 Ariana Grande & Wicked Movie Cast - Thank Goodness / I Couldn’t Be Happier (feat. Michelle Yeoh) [+36] 67 Wicked Movie Cast & Cynthia Erivo - Every Day More Wicked (feat. Michelle Yeoh & Ariana Grande) [+27] 87 Cynthia Erivo - No Place Like Home (+44) 115 Ariana Grande - The Girl in the Bubble (+68) 123 Ariana Grande - I’m Not That Girl (Reprise) (+67) 124 Jeff Goldblum, Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo - Wonderful (NEW) 132 Marissa Bode, Cynthia Erivo & Ethan Slater - The Wicked Witch of the East (+55) 134 Wicked Movie Cast & Ethan Slater - March of the Witch Hunters (NEW) Bonus: 100 Cynthia Erivo feat. Ariana Grande - Defying Gravity (RE) 192 Ariana Grande - Popular (RE)

Defying Gravity is also rising again on streaming, since both films are treated as their separate things with three track limits, would that mean that Erivo could have four songs in the top 100 next week - two with Grande (one from each ost), one with Bailey and one solo.
  15. Hoping for a repeak once Wuthering Heights hits theatres in February.
  16. 2010 really is a sign of the times for X Factor’s influence on the charts, I’m pretty sure Alexis Jordan and G6 are the only songs that weren’t performed on the results show by that point.
  17. I wonder if Raye’s repeak (alongside the vinyls) will be enough for No.1 this week.
  18. 100% this because there is no way in hell you can tell me that Andy Williams and Brenda Lee suddenly becoming mainstays was organic and not playlist boasted.
  19. Yup, it was more a certain side of stan-twitter that kept the one hit wonder narrative going, even though she wasn't. Every news about would always just refer to her “the boom clap girl”.
  20. It’s so funny to me that despite making avant garde hyperpop for most of her career and largely being labelled a one hit wonder, whenever Charli does any vaguely commercial sounding, the GBP eats it up.
  21. Has Robyn's "Dopamine" showed up anywhere yet?

Hope this avoids ACR throughout the Christmas season long enough to pull an Escapism. - the first number one of the new year.

I want this to go top ten so badly. My most listened to song from the soundtrack Hope this avoids ACR throughout the Christmas season long enough to pull an Escapism. - the first number one of the new year.
  24. Pat Boone has 103 weeks
  25. I would’ve been so pissed off if I were the Cramps. Their song being the one that actually soundtracked the iconic dance scene in Wednesday but a fan made TikTok edit to a Lady Gaga song is the one that gets the chart boast and annual Halloween boast now because that’s the one everyone thinks was in the scene.
