I've got to check the amount of tape left in the cassette I'm using now that the number one is getting played...

And their ideal number one would be Man I Need, but let's find out...

Turns out the K-pop Demon Hunters tunes in the Top 5 are not on my CD part, but on the cassette part of the recording...

So some of number 8 and the Top 7 is on my cassette (part 2) of this week...

Number 8 is where my CD stopped and my cassette started..

Now I'm getting ready to change from CD R recording to the type IV metal cassette now the Top 10 has begun... I expect the CD to stop during the Top 10..

Sorry about that...

That's what happens if you don't trust the streaming public...

As long as the deluxe version is counted in the combined tally of singles from the album...

Pretty soon in a while, the CD R disc is going to be full so I have to switch to cassette during the Top 10...

But only until mid-2006! Then, the Top 40 singles chart section from then ultimately occupied the majority of the show from that point onwards (4:30-7pm).

Are we in the JK and Joel era of the Radio 1 Top 40 show from the sounds of number 22? Yes, yes we are. "We've got some guerilla tactics..."

Oh my goodness - Feel Good Inc is now back at its' debut position of 22 from the week it debuted (17 April 2005) on sales of downloads (which was newly introduced into the chart rules from that week) and 300 7 inch vinyl copies.

I think Drake's bit in Which One, to me, sounds like this: "Hurmurfurfurdumdurrfurrdurr done etc"

Which One needs to be blown away by a hairdryer out of the Top 40 quick.... Besides I can't understand what the heck is being said in it (except for Central Cee's verse).

Sorry to disappoint you but I was 9 about to turn 10 during that season of X Factor - I didn't turn 10 until well after the winner was announced that year in Matt Cardle.

To quote Mitch Benn: "And now the chorus gets all massive, what a big surprise.."

But I guarantee you Love Me Not will be among the Top 10 or 20 biggest selling singles of the year by the end of the year, despite stalling at No.2 - and besides, Radio 1 was heavily championing this single to oblivion..

Yet another long-running track on the chart now, but not as long as Beautiful Things in terms of total weeks on the Top 40...
