I fear I'm gonna lose my money for betting because I predicted Wham would do it this year with a 1-6 bet..

Wow... Normally it'd be 81 mins in on a normal week, but now this week, we're 141 minutes in

Of course, I have been part of a now closed Radio 1 chart shows Facebook group and know a few chart traders here and there that can help this. But for my modern chart recordings (especially 2025), I may have to transfer them later on down the line though I do have a list of chart shows from this year (my recordings and info on them that I have as well as a certain date I didn't keep because I taped over it - that being the Big Weekend recap - 23rd May 2025).

To be honest, a shame of the UK Xmas classics are now overshadowed by the transatlantic Xmas classics - probably nostalgia for a period of Christmas Britain never had.

And good in my opinion. It's just the majority of the Top 10 will be Xmas songs, seeing as we're entering it now...

Speaking of the year Pink Floyd got the Christmas number one, this was in the Top 10 on Christmas week 1979...

..but of course, my comment did refer to their version of Sleigh Ride being a double A-side with their version of Puppy Love.

Technically a double A-side with their cover of "Puppy Love", which was the side that Radio 1 played on the Top 40 show at the time.

I think this is the 2020 Ultimate Mix - one of the newer remasters.

On the 14th 22 years ago, this re-entered the chart at 33 as a bit of a spoiler to counterargue against that year's favourite with the bookies, the final 12 of series 2 of Pop Idol's cover version which eventually debuted and peaked at number five.

I dunno think that Together for Palestine is likely to chart..

Now for a song which first appeared on a Christmas album which didn't get a good reception initially on release in 1963 due to it being released on the same day as the JFK assassination..

If the FM transmitter I have buzzes out, I already have the songs in this chart elsewhere from different sources. But still, playing all 40 songs on the show - that is a rarity today!
