I think the only reason it doesn’t have it’s own thread is because the playlist isn’t published so you have to go though the last played songs, annoyingly.

The playlist is quite stale at the moment, hopefully we get lots of new additions in the new year.

The only post launch song is Tom Grennan - It Can’t Be Christmas. I’m not sure I agree with the slogan though, “playing the songs Capital made famous”, because I expect in a few years they’ll be playing Olivia Dean’s ‘Man I Need’ and ‘So Easy’, which we all know they snubbed.

Makes sense. I wouldn’t say there’s really anything missing from the playlist at the moment as Capital are mainly a pop/dance station and only really play Top 100 hits apart from the Alessi Rose, Cat Burns, Rizzle Kicks and Rose Gray songs on there, likely only playlisted due to Jingle Bell Ball. I’m expecting an add for Tyla in the new year though, maybe Kato as well.

Do KISS play the original version of ‘I Run’ or the re-recorded version featuring Kaitlin Aragon?

Oh yeah I agree! It deserves to be a hit and I won’t mind hearing it on the radio.

I don’t really understand the need for radio edits like are the public gonna kick off if they here a song on radio that’s 3:30 or over?

Capital have been snubbing Olivia Dean, they haven’t played anything from her other than ‘Nice To Each Other’.

STB is 6 months away! I don’t think we need to be talking about it now lol.

It does say on the website 12th - 18th December, although I vaguely remember it said similar last year and they changed it midweek to be until January!

Speaking of Radio X, does anyone know if they playlisted ‘End of Beginning’?

Noticed that when Capital were talking about Alessi Rose at the Jingle Bell Ball opening for other artists, they never mentioned Dua Lipa only Noah Kahan and Tate McRae. Alessi then brought it up herself in an interview with Will Manning but it’s odd they won’t even mention Dua, is she “blacklisted” from Capital?

I don’t understand the point of the Capital Buzz playlist? None of them get airplay unless they prove to be a hit and get on the main Capital playlist.

Maybe, but I don’t think it had much chart success?

There weren’t any other singles, though I am aware Capital do occasionally playlist non-singles, and I don’t think they played the songs in full on the Big Top 40.

Do Capital usually playlist Fred again.. or has he never been playlisted?
