Love to see a huge clear out! Haven’t heard new Bieber yet so can’t comment, ‘Tears’ has grown on me but hopefully it doesn’t spend 12 weeks on here like ‘Manchild’, didn’t expect JADE to get the ‘Tracks from’ treatment but R1 have been very supportive of her solo stuff. I like the new Conan Gray, KATSEYE, Luke Dean and Tyler songs.

I hope Radio 1 Dance gets a live schedule rather than pre recorded shows and they start posting the playlist. Also noticed that it’s not broadcast on Radio 1 Dance.

I think that ‘All This Time’ being removed was a mistake as it is still being played. I hope it’s a mistake.

I like all of the new additions this week! It’s a shame Prospa/Josh Baker and Katy B never made it past the C List and Alessi Rose likely won’t either. I do think Radio 1 are a little late to ‘Let Him Go’ I haven’t heard it on social media for ages. Was hoping Sigrid would be added this week.

Sugababes played Big Weekend this year so it would’ve been nice to see some support for ‘Shook’, even if it did stall on the C List. Jax Jones was supported only last year with ‘Tonight (D.I.Y.A)’ and ‘Stereo’ has been played on Party Anthems many times. They have started playing more ‘Anthems’ in their regular shows so it would be nice to see some support for some of these artists’ new music!

Beth Wallace will host Friday Early Breakfast (05:00–07:00) in September, and Jack Remmington and Ash Holme will take over in October. Charley Marlowe will co-host Radio 1’s Life Hacks (Sunday 16:00–18:00) with Lauren Layfield while Shanequa Paris is on maternity leave. Olympian Lina Nielsen will co-host in October. Both Charley and Lina will also host The Official Chart: First Look with Lauren (Sunday 18:00–19:00). Safe to say Radio 1 love Charley Marlowe!
