I heard Avicii - Wake Me Up on Weekend Early Breakfast a couple weeks ago

Updater went to Reading or Leeds probably

Becky is a great album artist

Cover of Dominic Fike?

That will be great I would've loved to see Jack and Sian take over from Rickie, Melvin and Charlie as they have great chemistry which you'll hear if you listen tonight from 6-8 as they are doing a Reading and Leeds warm-up.

Not feeling it as much as Disgruntled but I think it'll grow

Looking forward to the Little Simz collab

What an end of an era for Rickie, Melvin and Charlie! They've been presenting together since 2008, hosting KISS Breakfast until 2018 and on Radio 1 until now. Since I started listening to Radio 1 a couple of years ago, their show always stood out to me as it was different to other daytime shows on there. It was great to speak to the guys on Rickie, Melvin or Charlie a few weeks ago and I loved it! I wish Rickie and Melvin the best of luck in their new adventures and Charlie on her new show with Jerry. Chase & Status 'End Credits' followed by Olivia Dean 'Ok Love You Bye' was a great send-off, I'm really gonna miss them.

It's very strange indeed. My guess is that they've paid for it as Capital have, in the past, been known to playlist songs by unknown artists that are not viral and most likely paid for a playlist spot such as 'Just A Girl' by Hayes Warner, Billy B & Kevin Rudolf in 2024. It's disappointing that AI songs have been making the Capital playlist recently when they ignore so many hits. Why isn't 'Choosin' Texas' on the playlist, for example? It's the 3rd biggest song in the UK at the moment and fits in with what they are currently playing. That said, I'm not going to boycott Capital because I enjoy most of the presenters and their Jingle Bell Balls are always a good show but I just think their could be a little more thought into what music goes out on air.

Great to see Bonobo here

Paid for it I'm guessing

YES. That's pretty quick for Heart!

I've been hearing a lot of early 2026 A-list songs as recurrents recently such as 'American Girls', 'Aperture' and 'Raindance'. It would be nice to hear some songs that didn't spend long on the A-list though.

I have a theory as to where one of Nat, James and Dean from Radio 1 will be going. As previously mentioned, Lydia Rodford, who currently hosts 05:00 - 09:00 on Saturday and Sunday is expecting a baby in October, I think one of them will cover her maternity leave and when Lydia comes back there will be a bigger slot available for one of Radio 1's departures to take on. I have noticed Nat has been interacting with a lot of Capital's Instagram posts lately and follows Global management on there so that leads me to believe she will be heading there. If she does, I'll be listening to a lot less Radio 1 and a lot more Capital.

I love this so much it's great

Such sad news

The Team is good but Say Something is better

Is it still pronounced as Stussy?

No worries, don't think BBC Sounds lists Joy.

James' is Joy.

Yeah I reckon it'll end up in the 60-50 region.

Only on Sundays, weirdly.

Nope!

Nice to see 'Ain't In LA' A-listed. Good to see 'Dependent', 'Dance Dance Dance!', 'Ravers', 'CAN'T SAY NO' and 'Coming Home' B-listed. I like the adds for 'Good Girl', 'Trapped', 'Eastside Girls' and 'oh yeah?'. Too early to remove 'Disgruntled' and 'Invisible'.
