What a great signing Rio was for KISS. I was expecting Radio 1 to poach her when she left Capital but she slots right in at KISS!

KISS have added this to their Hype List, some songs on there get spot plays on daytime KISS. KISS DANCE have added it to their playlist and the playlist for Rio Fredrika's Friday and Saturday night dance show on the main station. (She played it 5 minutes ago!)

Very much enjoyed the Ore and Swarzy pairing yesterday. The weekend/weekday daytime schedule needs a HUGE refresh in my opinion and this pairing needs to be on their somewhere, Weekend Breakfast would work for them I feel? And Swarzy with Sam today works well and I'm sure Ore with Danni will work in a couple of weeks.

Shocked to see 'Zone' up to the A-list after seven weeks on the playlist, but not complaining. I hope they playlist Poppy Baskcomb's new single 'My Place' with Josh Baker soon as well. Nice to see 'DANCE...' up to the B-list, I was fully expecting it to stall on the C-list. The only add I'm interested in this week is 'Movin' To The Sun'. Is that really a first time add for HUGEL? Surely they playlisted 'I Adore You' in 2024. Out of the removals, it's a shame to see 'PASSENGER' and 'SS26' out but the others can leave, I don't care for them.

I don't think Nat having a lot of time off is necessarily an issue as she's only on the weekends. However, for Dean, Vick and Jamie it is an issue as their shows are on 4 days a week.

Sam, Tatum and Esi were/are the best presenters on KISS. If I was Head of Radio 1, I'd try and poach Tatum from KISS and bring back the late-night entertainment show that aired Mondays - Wednesdays 21:00 - 23:00 and have Sam and Tatum host it, they have great chemistry from their podcast. When Tyler West joined KISS Breakfast and left the drive show, KISS should've given it to Sam and Tatum, then signed Rio Fredrika for Tatum's old slot. If they did that, I don't think Sam would've joined a direct competitor of KISS, Radio 1, but KISS chose to have one of their strongest and longest-running presenters only on the weekend. I understand that this isn't a permanent slot for Sam but Minah Shannon (May 2025), Lauren Redfern (June 2025), Mylo and Rosie (July 2025) and Charley Marlowe (August 2025) have all hosted the slot since Radio 1 re-introduced it in January 2025 and now have many cover opportunities on the station.

Saxboy Billy and Shakira/Burna Boy are now in My Capital, they've been added.
