They’re not nobodies either. Mika, Jessie J and Emeli Sandé all had multi-platinum albums not that long ago. They did have strong UK fanbases, but those have declined over the years. What I’m saying is that making the Top 10 isn’t trivial, even if you were hugely successful in the past. Not every artist can mobilise their fanbase to actually buy the album. As for the Mixers, they definitely do their part to support Leigh-Anne:

There are plenty of recent examples of artists with established fanbases who still missed the Top 10: Shaznay Lewis (didn’t chart), Mika (#14), Jessie J (#19), Darren Hayes (#82), Joss Stone (didn’t chart), Maroon 5 (didn’t chart), Demi Lovato (#118), Emeli Sandé (#49), Jonas Brothers (didn’t chart), Ella Eyre (didn’t chart), Foxes (didn’t chart)… and the list goes on.
