got eurythmics greatest hits and inxs kick cds from the charity shop last week, almost as a reflex rather than anything i was that bothered about lol (got prodigy - their law as well but it was knackered: always check the cd! do not be optimistic!)

i think tbh it's better to right an injustice for the benefit of the listeners than focus on it as a case of stolen valour, i'd rather just hear the songs in the end : )

kinda bombed out of the top 10 very quickly tho, would have thought the tour would have propped it up a bit smdh

having played this a lot i think it's something that works of a piece rather than as single songs but the title track is i think a big moment, HTIYLM has really grown as well, very doomy and grandiose, nowhere nobody is a fitting end as well. it took a while for it all to come into focus.mp3 but i think i might place this my 4th or 5th favourite?

and also, aren't there always caveats in the past? like, acts used to hype music into the charts, old stats were far less reliable on their own merits (ringing round a few shops here and there), it's not like there was some mythical time when the rules were perfect and we knew exactly who bought what and when. it may be different to what it was now but it is at least accurate for what it is, it's not like it was always very good in the past

got the harry styles album on cd last week, i don't even know if i think it's that amazing but i do find it very comforting, i find myself listening to it all the time also, picked up ed sheeran x and christina aguilera stripped at the charity shop the other day, worth a solid 50p each
