Joe McElderry | Album 1
I really love Ambitions, but can't help but wonder if he would be selling better if Wide Awake or Superman was the lead single. Either way, the album is very good. I hope it's not a total flop.

Alexandra Burke - Overcome
Let's just hope the 'new version' doesn't mean guest rapper this time.

iTunes Chart: October 2010
October 3rd seems to be a huge day for new releases. Robbie/Gary, Cee-Lo, Kings of Leon and Swedish House Mafia vs Tinie Tempah. All new top 4 perhaps?

Joe McElderry | Album 1
Joe McElderry has revealed that the direction of his upcoming debut album changed dramatically after recording one of his new tracks. The 19-year-old told Metro that he would be opting for a "casual, fun, young, smart, not suits and things" look for the album's release. "The direction before was a great direction," he said. "Then we did one song and it changed the whole album." He added: "Now we have new songs in. It's such a modern kind of style and gone down much pop-ier and up tempo." The X Factor has confirmed that he has been working with producers who have previously worked with artists including Rihanna, Pussycat Dolls and Enrique Iglesias. Yesterday, McElderry announced that the still-untitled LP will be released on October 25. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a26...e-up-tempo.html He's also confirmed that he'll be launching the album at G-A-Y on October 23rd

iTunes Chart: August 2010 (II)
Definately not. I've always hated them. Some people don't want the chart spoilt and by having them there it instantly removes the choice to view the midweeks/i-tunes chart.

iTunes Chart: May II
Yeah #2 seems to be her favourite position

JLS - The Club is Alive
I'm really hoping that's as far as the sample goes

Record Store Day hailed a success as indie takings rocket
I don't think it made a difference to be honest. Record Store Day was 10 days ago and the Ash single wasn't released to celebrate the day. Besides, it's bound to be very frontloaded and it's low top 40 on the first set of midweeks so it's highly unlikely it will hold on until the end of the week.

Uk Chart Reform???
Having just read the story, it seems like it's a Radio 1 chart not an official chart. Maybe the OCC are planning on moving the official chart elsewhere so Radio 1 need a replacement? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...l#ixzz0l23XmSfq
