As for the content I suggested, I want to see a list of the biggest songs of each year with updated totals. For example, the biggest songs released in 2002 with updated streams, sales and downloads. I’m sure the updated top 100 of that year would look very different compared to the year end chart

Is it popular with different people every week though or the same people that listen to it on playlists all the time? I think the charts company should decide if they want to present the top 100 songs that literally have the most streams that might be 100 per cent accurate (but accept the fate that it’s incredibly slow, boring to listen to and will not inspire new audiences to care) or try to create a chart that represents the most popular fresh new music which is based on a fair formula (more artificial perhaps but more interesting to follow and less predictable). As it stands, its neither of these - it’s created an artificial chart that is also dull and predictable which is why nobody outside of this forum cares for it any more

Surely you don’t want to get rid of ACR?? If anything they need to accelerate it more

I hope and pray they are planning a major chart rules overhaul to bring some life in the charts. They are so boring and dead right now
  5. I wonder why this is getting ignored by radio stations and Spotify
  6. Also I don’t think This Christmas by Jess Glynne is on Spotify yet
  7. A desperate plea video on their social media this morning, begging people to download because their sales are massively down on previous years

Is there a way of betting on Kunts? I think this could be their year
  9. Yeah I’d say especially due to it being a NYE where everyone is indoors we should see much higher streams than even a normal NYE boost so I’d say tomorrow’s Spotify chart will be full of older “party” hits

Are these lists available to read anywhere? I’d like to have a browse

I wonder what a chart of songs released in 2001 would like, taking into account streams and downloads for an overall total

    Capital played Smile today too
  13. Interesting that they talk about Steps as being on Disc 2 of Now 105 when of course they are not. I wonder if they were supposed to be on the original version, before covid19 put a halt to both Steps new material and Now 105
  14. Remember when they tried to recreate that with God Only Knows a few years ago?
  15. Now 105 and Now 5 postponed confirmed
  16. Now 105 has been postponed, along with the Now 5 re-release

And some of those were added this afternoon after the chart leaked online

Seeing everyone on LadBaby’s Facebook showing that they have pre-ordered makes me think he may have this in the bag already
  19. Stormzy was only going to show himself as a contender after the album release though

I got Ellie at 25/1 this morning but then noticed Lad Baby are back

I’ve got money on Stormzy and Ellie too. Surely LadBaby won’t do it again?
  22. Also, the song credits on Spotify list Naughty Boy as the producer of It Must Have Been Love, whereas all the ones tagged with X Factor Recording have nothing listed under the producer subheading
  23. I went to see this on the day it opened in the West End last Saturday and it’s honestly the best show I’ve seen. It’s really funny and uplifting. I nervously met Max Martin there too as he was in the audience. He agreed to a photo with me
  24. Jess Glynne & Clean Bandit
  25. Definitely. And when you view song credits, you should be able to click on writer/producer to find other songs by them
