I just heard Kylie played on Capital. Hopefully that’s a sign it’s been playlisted

Looking at the time on that screen, could it be linked to 2:22 A Ghost Story??
  3. -SCOTT- posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
It’s just a dodgy link on the forum, try directly from the official chart website page

As for the content I suggested, I want to see a list of the biggest songs of each year with updated totals. For example, the biggest songs released in 2002 with updated streams, sales and downloads. I’m sure the updated top 100 of that year would look very different compared to the year end chart

Is it popular with different people every week though or the same people that listen to it on playlists all the time? I think the charts company should decide if they want to present the top 100 songs that literally have the most streams that might be 100 per cent accurate (but accept the fate that it’s incredibly slow, boring to listen to and will not inspire new audiences to care) or try to create a chart that represents the most popular fresh new music which is based on a fair formula (more artificial perhaps but more interesting to follow and less predictable). As it stands, its neither of these - it’s created an artificial chart that is also dull and predictable which is why nobody outside of this forum cares for it any more

Surely you don’t want to get rid of ACR?? If anything they need to accelerate it more

I hope and pray they are planning a major chart rules overhaul to bring some life in the charts. They are so boring and dead right now

Maybe they accidentally played a version they made for a kids based show. That’s the only reason I can think they would need an edit that heavy
  9. -SCOTT- posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Wait why do they edit out the word “next” in Kill Bill?
  10. I wonder why this is getting ignored by radio stations and Spotify
  11. Also I don’t think This Christmas by Jess Glynne is on Spotify yet

Wow, so many old songs and songs I have never heard of, including 4 of the top 20. The biggest wtf is a random Tom Odell song from 10 years ago making an appearance. A pretty decent number 1 though I guess

Ah of course, sorry Christmas break making me forget what day it was

The OCC says that Wham added 8,200 to their total yesterday which would put them on 27,400 roughly. It also says Ladbaby are 12k ahead which would only be 39k https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/c..._tPqkt85pJvJ2Po So if Ladbaby are really on 46.7k and Wham are 12k behind that would put them on 34.7k roughly meaning they would have actually added about 15k to their total Or I’ve misunderstood or miscalculated something somewhere

Their previous video mentioned how they don’t have the massive stars to get them the streaming. I wonder if they will release a “special guests” version tonight which miraculously has big names on it
  16. -SCOTT- posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
32k vs 19k Wham were also on 19k last Monday I think
  17. A desperate plea video on their social media this morning, begging people to download because their sales are massively down on previous years
  18. -SCOTT- posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
I imagine there’s still one more version to come with special guests

I’m hoping that Wham overtake by Friday (because I have money on them and because I’ve had enough of the Ladbaby rubbish) but I hope that the midweeks make it look like Ladbaby is safe so it doesn’t put them and their fans on alert to campaign too strongly

They would have played it as a contender surely. I haven’t listened in a few years but they used to just trail the top 3 songs as contenders

Is there a way of betting on Kunts? I think this could be their year
  22. -SCOTT- posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Heard of it yes but I have somehow managed to avoid actually hearing it

    Wow just looked at the top 100 and I’m so out of touch with stuff nowadays. The first time ever I have never even heard the number 1 song of the year. And never heard 10, 18, 19, 22, 26, 31, 34, 36, 39, 46, 47, 49, 50, 53, 54, 55, 56, 61, 63, 66, 70, 77, 82, 85, 91, 96, 99 and 100 either. As if turning 30 this year wasn’t enough to make me feel old!
  24. Yeah I’d say especially due to it being a NYE where everyone is indoors we should see much higher streams than even a normal NYE boost so I’d say tomorrow’s Spotify chart will be full of older “party” hits

Me too. I stopped following when Savage Love was number 1 and only revisited them over Christmas just out of curiosity to see if I missed much. Head & Heart, WAP and Positions were all obvious huge hits that were everywhere so no surprises they were long running number 1s. Hadn’t heard Mood or Lemonade but not missing much based on the clips I listened to on Boxing Day. And I saw on sky news that Mariah finally made it. I was pleasantly surprised to see Looking For Me did quite well and Tate McCrae was a nice discovery but it doesn’t seem like I missed out. I will find out what happens with Mariah vs Wham vs Jess on NYD but then i can see myself leaving it for another year and see if things have improved by next Christmas
