Arirang is the fifth #1 album for BTS, starting from Map Of The Soul: Persona in 2019 through Proof in 2022. Luke Combs improves on the #4 peak of previous release Fathers & Sons, but his career peak is still #2 from Gettin' Old in 2023.

Disco, Occasionally. spends a second week atop the Billboard 200 chart (dated March 28), following its debut at No. 1 a week ago. In the latest tracking week, ending March 19, the set earned 99,000 equivalent album units in the United States, according to Luminate. That’s down 77% compared to its opening sum of 430,000. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new March 28, 2026-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on March 24. Of Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.’s 99,000 equivalent album units earned in the latest tracking week, SEA units comprise 74,000 (down 47%, equaling 75.10 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs; it’s No. 1 on Top Streaming Albums for a second week), album sales comprise 24,500 (down 92%, falling 1-3 on Top Album Sales) and TEA units comprise 500 (down 33%). Johnny Blue Skies (formerly Sturgill Simpson) & the Dark Clouds’ Mutiny After Midnight debuts at No. 3 with 59,000 equivalent album units earned — all from physical album sales. It’s the best week yet, by units earned or album sales, for the artist. It’s the second top 10-charting project for Simpson, following the No. 3-peaking A Sailor’s Guide to Earth in 2016. Mutiny After Midnight is currently only available on CD, vinyl and cassette. No release date has been announced for a streaming version or a digital download for purchase. Mutiny After Midnight marks the first album exclusively available on physical formats to reach the top 10 in nearly three years. The last to do so was Taylor Swift’s Record Store Day-exclusive vinyl release Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions on the May 6, 2023-dated chart. That set, sold only at independent record stores, debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 75,000 copies sold (the entirety of its production run) in its first week. Mutiny After Midnight’s first-week sales were bolstered by its availability across six vinyl variants (a standard widely available black LP, an indie store-exclusive red color edition and four further variants exclusive to the artist’s webstore). The album’s cassette edition was also sold exclusively via the artist webstore, while its CD was widely available. Notably, the last widely available physical-only album to reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200 came nearly a decade ago, when Garth Brooks’ archival five-CD box set The Anthology: Part I, The First Five Years, debuted at No. 4 on the Dec. 9, 2017 chart and spent three nonconsecutive weeks in the top 10. P1Harmony earns its highest-charting album and second top 10 on the Billboard 200, as UNIQUE debuts at No. 4. The set earned 58,000 equivalent album units in its first week, the group’s best week by units earned. Ella Langley Leaps Past Taylor Swift for Country History as ‘Choosin’ Texas’ Tops Hot 100 for 4th Week By Gary Trust | 3/23/2026 Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” holds for a historic fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song first led in mid-February and added its second week on top at the beginning of March. “Choosin’ Texas” solely claims the most weeks ever spent atop the Hot 100 for a song by a woman that also hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, one-upping Taylor Swift’s three-week Hot 100 reign with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” in 2012. Beyond “Choosin’ Texas” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” three No. 1 country hits by women topped the Hot 100 for two weeks each: Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” in 2024 and Dolly Parton’s “Islands in the Stream,” with Kenny Rogers (1983), and “9 to 5” (1981). Also of note among country classics by women: Parton wrote “I Will Always Love You,” with Whitney Houston’s cover ruling the Hot 100 for 14 weeks in 1992-93 (after Parton sent two of her versions to No. 1 on Hot Country Songs, in 1974 and 1982). Dean Doubles Up in Top 10 Olivia Dean earns her second Hot 100 top 10 as “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” rises 11-9. The song drew 11.6 million streams (down 11%) and 32.2 million in airplay audience (up 20%) and sold 2,000 (up 13%) in the tracking week. Meanwhile, the London-born singer-songwriter’s “Man I Need” holds at its No. 2 Hot 100 high, as it logs its fifth nonconsecutive week as runner-up (the most weeks for a No. 2-peaking title by a woman in a lead role since Ariana Grande’s “Problem,” featuring Iggy Azalea, also held the rank for five weeks in 2014; the last such song by a woman and no co-billed artists? Lady Gaga’s seven-week No. 2 anthem “Bad Romance” in 2009-10). With “Man I Need” having first hit the Hot 100’s top 10 in November, Dean has notched her first two top 10s in less than five months. That’s the fastest accumulation of two initial top 10s for a solo woman since her Island Records labelmate Sabrina Carpenter tallied her first two with “Espresso” in April 2024 and “Please Please Please” less than two months later (with, as with Dean this week, both songs in the top 10 together at the time). Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” keeps at No. 3 after three nonconsecutive weeks atop the Hot 100 in January to mid-March. It leads Radio Songs for a fourth week with 81.5 million in audience (up 7%) — becoming the first song to surpass 80 million in weekly airplay reach since Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” (82 million, Sept. 7, 2024). Plus, “I Just Might” is No. 1 on the multimetric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot R&B Songs charts for a milestone 10th week each. On the former, it ties “That’s What I Like” (2017) for Mars’ longest command among his five leaders. Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” ascends 5-4 on the Hot 100 after 10 weeks at No. 1 last June-August. HUNTR/X’s “Golden” climbs 7-5 on the Hot 100 following eight weeks at No. 1 last August-October. It sports an 11% gain to 12.3 million streams in the week ending March 19, after the trio performed it and it won the Academy Award March 15 for best original song, while parent movie KPop Demon Hunters took home the Oscar for best animated feature. You don’t need me to tell you that the video is an artistic masterpiece, her videos are still serving incredible choreography after all these years, and I adore the red color theme. The song itself is equally magical, proving that 'Disease' was no fluke, and leading the way to a masterful album. It felt like I was reliving her commercial peak of 2009-2011, even if just for a month or so. I would've loved to see this released years ago when she was at her peak, but I think it's much more rewarding as a 2025 album. Imagine if every artist could do this 15+ years into their career! Blackpink "Jump" This is about as unexpected as it gets for me. For years I had quietly resented Blackpink for being the "chosen ones" to make it big in America and elsewhere, when I felt that several other K-pop groups were more deserving. I felt the same about BTS, but in fairness to both groups, they were the first to really try to promote themselves globally, can't fault them for that! Then they released 'Jump', and I took back every bad thing I ever said about them. The drop sounds like it came straight out of the early 2010s, and yet it sounded so refreshing, rather than old or outdated. It took me right back to hearing songs like this on Radio 1 back in the day. It’s no surprise to see Diplo was involved as a producer! Now I will gladly put all the respect on Blackpink's name, and this got me really looking forward to hearing what the rest of this project would sound like (edit: this was actually written before their EP release in case you're confused)! 3. Chappell Roan "Pink Pony Club" This is finally the last repeat from 2024's EOY, but as we know 'Pink Pony Club' isn’t even from 2024 or 2025. But after this past year, it's going to be a classic, if it isn't one already, and it couldn't be more deserved. I've done very well at not bragging about being one of the original fans (except now thanks BJSC!). Still, even knowing the potential it had, I never could've imagined it being probably one of the biggest songs of the decade once it's all said and done. A big highlight for me last year was watching the Savannah Bananas and seeing tens of thousands of baseball fans (baseball fans!) sing the chorus at the top of their lungs.
