yay at aint it fun topping your chart, wasn't expecting it really but it's a stunning track and my love increased after seeing the lovely video which is an excellent concept and also quite fun but at the same time sweet to see friends accomplish all these things together. a worthy winner :cheer:

rude love too! seems we're the only two who like it but it's such a fun track and so different for a 2014 chart hit. shame to see the amount of hate it gets really, one day they will appreciate it's brilliance.

Omg, how did I not mention the video!? The tone definitely matches how the song makes me feel :wub: The GIFs I put there are from my favorite part of the video, basically the peak moment of the song for me.

You're right, Rude stood out for being different, plus it blew up at the right time of year, which is what Riptide should have done.

Yes, I cannot argue with a Paramore track topping someone's chart <3 Amazing finish, love Ain't It Fun.

And Echosmith so high is great to see, they're a lovely up and coming band, and I'm crossing my fingers with you because I'd love it to stick around for ages and ages.

Echosmith's next single here is Bright, not sure how to feel about that. If they can keep honing their sound the way Paramore have, hopefully that's not too ambitious but I'd like to think they're capable of even better than what they've created already.

A brief history of nations participation in BJSC Harmonica debuted in the 64th contest and auto-qualified for the final due to semifinal results never being presented. Since then the nation has yet to earn a proper qualification. Joining an alliance has been of no benefit to Harmonica’s performance. The local BJSC fans tend to support Oslol more than their own country, aspiring to be top five in Oslol's "points received" list.

A brief description of your nation In a land where people are outnumbered two-to-one by tumbleweeds, Harmonica has learned to embrace its middle-of-nowhere character and in fact give it some charm. The country benefits greatly from its proximity to neighboring Yehesi, where most residents travel for shopping and to experience basic aspects of civilization such as grass, trees, and carpet. Borders are also shared with Alteria and Altyr Muunilinst, whose names are understandably mistaken on a regular basis. Because of their low population and political apathy, Harmonica functions as an anarchy; however they do appoint a Lady Sunshine who serves as an ambassador. The current Lady Sunshine is Stephanie and she likes corn on the cob. The most popular genre of music is country.

Just relistened to both Kwabs songs, I think I prefer 'Walk' but as you said it's the more accessible track of the two.

I have so much appreciation for Paramore after everything they’ve been through the last few years, and the fact they overcame it with a new sense of their ability, resulting in their best output yet. This is not the same band that gave me my previous faves That’s What You Get and Decode. Still Into You was the moment of reassurance that Paramore is still capable of such perfection. Then they delivered the pinnacle of their career, Ain’t It Fun. The song rightfully became their biggest ever hit in America and despite coming from 2013, nothing in 2014 could match the energy and exhilaration that lasts from intro to outro, and from the first listen to the 200th. I lived and breathed this song as it accompanied so many of the best, most carefree moments of my year.

The irony is that it’s meant to be a dose of reality for the listener. The lyrics are a fantastic portrayal of that slap-in-the-face moment where you realize life isn’t fair and no one’s looking out for you but yourself. And yet Hayley’s words are riddled with sarcasm, which is why the song’s upbeat, anthemic nature works so well. It’s hitting a little close to home now as I type this the night before I start a brand new chapter in my life, and as my favorite song of 2014 I can’t think of a better source of motivation for that very moment. Don’t is quite easily Ed’s best effort to date for me, so I’m thrilled it became his biggest hit in America and first top 10 on Billboard. (Thinking Out Loud has since outperformed it.) It didn’t get old anywhere near as quickly as Sing did, and in fact I’m still not that bored of hearing it. It’s ALL about the verses for me, especially the first one with a melody that’s just perfection.
