Hmm I'm not that sure Blunty will do as well really. Kinda put off him by my mum keep saying it's my dad singing. He genuinely sings and looks like my dad :lol: not a good thing at all! The song is ok and it will chart but how high it will be is another question.

I must admit I’m terribly unfamiliar with the Stereophonics’ discography, only knowing four songs of theirs and having no idea who they were pre-‘Dakota’. Even upon first hearing this I didn’t know the name of the artist or the song until another chance encounter years later. But even after all that time it was instantly recognizable and it’s all down to THAT chorus. It’s very similar to the chorus of ‘Sex On Fire’ really, just one phrase, loud and vivid, perfect. To me ‘Dakota’ is a song about looking back (“you made me feel like the one”) and being left with mixed emotions. It works as a happy song and a sad song, which is perhaps part of its appeal. Even in the poor sales climate of 2005, I’m just amazed it reached #1! And the nine years since have helped justify that achievement as this seems to become a timeless classic. And we all lived happily ever after.

Karmin (Honestly expected them to be huge after 'Broken Hearted' and especially after hearing 'Hello' but nope. 'Acapella' is also amazing and they have such great chemistry.)
Mike Posner (So much potential flushed down the drain after 'Cooler Than Me' .. 'Please Don't Go' was a masterpiece ahead of its' time!)
Skylar Grey (Lent her voice to so many projects yet most people don't know her for shit and her solo material continually flops .. criminal!)
Tegan & Sara (both 'Closer' and 'I Was A Fool' deserved to smash!)

Congrats John, excellent winner! Very pleased with the top 2. I'm one of the few who doesn't get Alchemy, would've loved Broken Flowers to be top 3 instead. A lot of injustice on the bottom of the list but it was inevitable with a final as strong as this.
