Could we ever get a 10 plus weeks at Number 1 track again?
Easily. The charts are slowing down big time, partly thanks to streaming. We've only had around 6 number ones so far this year as many have had multiple weeks at the top. Last year there was pretty much a different one every week. I think in the next two years there'll definitely be a 10+ week runner.

I normally don't get the Iggy hate but I find her voice SO annoying on 'Trouble'.

Over the moon that Cheerleader isn't gonna make #1. I would genuinely rather have Lay Me Down/Thinking Out Loud/Happy at #1 for 12 months than that absolute pile of shite at the top of the charts.

Unluckiest #2's?
This reference has gone over my head. Explain?

The original Cheerleader sounds like a fake song in itself. The vocals are horrific.

I really hope he does get #1. Anyone but that Voice song! Wouldn't it be wonderful if the Voice got #1 on sales but was knocked down to #2 with streaming combined hehe

As far as I know she's not said that it's a buzz single, official single, lead single, etc etc. She's just thrown it out there. I guess they're waiting to see how well it does before they label it as anything! When FourFiveSeconds came out she was adamant that it wasn't the 'lead single', it was just the first track to be released from the album. I imagine they've changed their attitude now it's smashed everywhere.

The Nick Jonas single is brilliant. If it was a female vocalist singing it, you'd all be lapping it up

British female solo artists with 3 #1s?
I can understand why people might not like it when a song counts to an artist's record when they are only a featured artist on the song (eg. Rita Ora on Hot Right Now) - but I think it's silly to suggest that songs should only count if they are the SOLE artist on that record. For example, I've seen someone argue that Crazy Stupid Love shouldn't count towards Cheryl's record cos Tinie Tempah is featured. That, to me, is going too far

I follow these threads a lot and I've seen literally no one ask whether Bloodstream will be combined or not. It's getting to the point where ANY question asked on the iTunes thread is met with a response of 'OMG ITS THE NEW WHAT NOW!!!!!". Just let people ask questions. Shock, horror, some people don't have time to read EVERY post on these forums and remember ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that gets said. Sometimes questions will be repeated.

Will the original Bloodstream and the new Bloodstream get combined? Or will they be separate like Lay Me Down Parts 1 and 2 are?

Mind boggling right? When I was about 11 and Don't Play Nice was first out I absolutely LOVED it. The Verbalicious album leaked a few years ago, I'm yet to hear it but I've actually heard good things.

Maybe this pre-order change is a move from iTunes to stop record companies holding back releases so long? iTunes must know that in the long run, pre-orders are detrimental to sales. 'FourFiveSeconds' is already one of the biggest selling tracks of the year, for example. Would it have sold as much if it was released two months after it originally premiered? I don't think so.
