  1. I've seen that on a music channel too, think it'll be the next UK single yeah as it's already been a single in various other countries. It needs a new video though. Christ.
  2. I think Let It Go will rise after the Frozen DVD release tomorrow. iirc Paper Planes by MIA rose after the DVD was released of Slumdog Millionaire? And after it was first shown on tv? So these big films do have effects on their songs once they are released to other platforms.
  3. I know the biggest drop from #1 is McFly with Baby's Coming Back/Transylvania got 1-20, but what's the second largest drop?
  4. Ewwww just heard the radio edit of 'Bassline' for the first time and no wonder it's flopping! They've butchered it. The original is far superior.
  5. I really like the Klaxons song.
  6. I can't believe Bassline hasn't done well, I thought it'd be huge.
  7. It's a grower I think. If you haven't seen the video make sure you watch it, cos it's pretty bloody fantastic:
  8. 'I Got U' is one of those songs where I genuinely just can't imagine someone not liking it. It's one of the most effortlessly uplifting songs in a long time.
  9. Thought Diana Vickers was gonna be really big after X Factor, especially when she got a #1 single and album. But then she disappeared pretty much. I know she had two more top 40 hits after that, and has a second album, but on the whole she's not done as brilliantly as I expected.
  10. Can see 5SOS getting #1 this week, then Duke Dumont getting it next week. I wouldn't get your hopes up about Gaga. I can't see this going Top 20.
  11. #SELFIE is hilarious. I'm glad it's doing well.
  12. I really hope this is a joke... if this actually happens and Gaga fans legitimately believe that Gaga planned ARTPOP to be a flop all along, I will lose all faith in the pop industry. "She planned it all along!!! She wanted it to flop!!! It's art!!! SHE'S A GENIUS!!!" I can see this happening. Urgh. Anyway, who do I think it could/couldn't be? Adele - gonna say this is very unlikely. Adele's album sales rely too heavily on physical copies for this to be a iTunes exclusive. Rihanna - as much as I'd LOVE this to be Rihanna, being a massive fan, I can't see it happening. She's too much of a singles artist. The only three artists who I think are big enough and have enough hype around them to make this a success are Gaga, Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj. We all know Lana's album is immanent and she hasn't really properly announced anything yet. The 'May 1st' date is clearly a load of rubbish seeing as May 1st this year is a Thursday, and nobody release albums on Thursdays. Nicki is a potential but I can't help but feel the response to her dropping an album would be kind of muted? She's not got a strong enough following to allow it to be a huge success I don't think. But it's a possibility nonetheless. All the signs seems to be pointing to Lady Gaga, seeing as she's been so quiet lately, except for shooting videos for singles that haven't even been announced. There's also the big factor that she said ARTPOP Pt II was happening. And the whole vomit thing last week could have been a 'subtle' way of nudging her back into the limelight just in time for an album release. I'd put my money on her tbh.
  13. I'm really not a fan of ancient songs making comebacks. These songs have had their time, let the charts be full of new stuff.
  14. Really don't get the love for 'Summer'. It's so Calvin-Harris-by-numbers. Nothing new, nothing special. Disappointing.

Wake Me Up still on capital playlist? Wow.
  16. Kesha - We R Who We R got released as part of a compilation accidentally a week or two before it was officially released, and as a result charted at something like #97 with the few days it was available for. It still went to #1 when it got released officially. Also Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie Part II (broken down version without Eminem) was meant to be album only but had a day or two where it was available to download. It charted at #160 as a result but went top 40 on iTunes iirc.
  17. Trust me, it's accurate for some girls. The most accurate parts are "it's only got 10 likes in 5 minutes, do you think I should take it down?" And "that guy was talking to that girl, do you think he was doing that to make me jealous?" Seriously i know girls who say that sort of stuff ALL the time hahaha
  18. The thing is with this song is that, as a 20 year old male at university who goes out all the time, I know girls who actually speak like this. A lot. It's a very accurate depiction of what pretentious girls on nights out say to each other. The song in itself doesn't offend me at all. I like it. It's fun.
  19. Azealia Banks is far worse than James Arthur imo. She is racist, homophobic, arrogant, she actively endorses wearing fur, she claims she is the best female rapper in the game, she has no respect for other artists and calls children ugly. James Arthur is just very arrogant and full of his own self importance, and made a homophobic remark one time. He is FAR from as vile as Azealia. Glad he's flopping though. He's horrible.
  20. My chemical romance - welcome to the black parade
  21. "Nasty" is such a weak comeback single. The "hey hey" bits she does all the way through go right through me. Serious foghorn vibes.
  22. It is 100% about being on drugs
  23. #98 Beyoncé - ***Flawless Any reason in particular this is on the rise?
  24. Hard Out Here was released too quickly, didn't have a proper radio edit and was completely overshadowed by 'SOWK'. If it had been released properly it would've been a #1 smash for sure, it's a brilliant song. Air Balloon has been handled well, but it's just not good enough really! I do really like it but it doesn't deserve any better than it's currently doing tbh.
  25. Any fewer than 11 tracks on an album is ridiculous. 9 tracks for an album is outrageous.
