'Wildest Moments' is also being used in a TV advert at the moment, which is probably more of an explanation as to why it's risen so much recently, and not the BB usage.

I think his two biggest singles are very much pop singles, obviously with underground influences though. The Power is pop as well but doesn't have that commercial sound that Louder/Hot Right Now/The Feeling do. The Power/Gold Dust/Earthquake aren't quite so poppy, as they don't really fit the pop formula. They're certainly a lot less commercial sounding which is why they don't appeal to radio so much.

Do you reckon? I think The Power is DJ Fresh's noisiest and least commercial sounding tracks, it's a bit of a mess in my opinion. Althought Louder and Hot Right Now were lite dubstep/dnb tracks (and the first of their kind to properly hit the mainstream), they sound far more commercial than the Dizzee track. I really don't like Earthquake though, the girl's vocals annoy me and the drop is just a bit too much for me. It sounds too disjointed.

Oh God I hope not, Broken Strings is probably one of the most overplayed songs of the past five years. I still unwillingly am subjected to it on the playlist at the pub where I work. I also hear it whenever I hear someone with Heart FM on or other radio stations like that. It's a good song, but so so overplayed after all these years.

That's true actually, I never hear Lady Gaga in normal clubs and I go out A LOT... I can't even think of many times I've heard her being played in gay clubs. Telephone definitely gets played at the gay clubs that I go to, but I can't think of any other songs I've heard much.

Am I right in thinking that The Wanted have now released FOUR singles ahead of this new album of their's? Chasing The Sun (#2) Lightning (#2) Walks Like Rihanna (#4) We Own The Night I'm guessing they're gonna release a fifth single before they release the album though? If so, surely that's taking the piss a bit - five (or maybe more) singles before an album drops!

I predict she'll be #1 this time tomorrow. Then stay there for the rest of the week. Poor Ellie :(

Does anyone know yet if Burn charted in the Top 200 this week thanks to the Alienator remix being in the charts for most of Sunday?

I'll be surprised if Ellie can hold on to the #1 spot for the whole week, I imagine Avicii will take over by Tuesday/Wednesday and ultimately come out on top :(

I unashamedly love Hoedown Throwdown and can do the dance in full. I can't see Ellie Goulding beating Avicii to #1 next week. I reckon next week the charts will be: #1 Avicii #2 Ellie Goulding #3 Miley Cyrus #4 Klangkarrussell #5 Lana Del Rey

I really don't think Gaga will get a #1 with Applause unless it's something quite amazing.

Weeks beginning 12th and 19th...
I will be shocked if Katy Perry can get to #1 with an OA/OS release, even if its an absolute monster of a tune. I have a feeling it's gonna be crap though. Next week Avicii will be #1, the week after probably Gaga.

Surely Miley is definitely gonna get #1 this week? She deserves if anyway, I LOVE the song and have been obsessed for weeks. I cannot stand 'Wake Me Up' as well. However, I think it's fairly clear that Wake Me Up will climb back up to #1 next week. I highly doubt Ellie will get to #1, the song just isn't strong enough.

I don't know why but I think Katy Perry's new one is going to be crap. I feel like she's gonna try too hard to break away from the pop sound and it'll end up sounding a mess. I'm envisaging something like Run The World, aka not a bad song, but not something that's gonna set the charts on fire. I hope I'm wrong though!

Pixie had a huge jump to #1 but it's not the overall record it seems. As someone mentioned earlier, Westlife jumped from #200 to #1, and if I recall correctly, The Military Wives went to #1 from something like #164. But Ellie could potentially make the record for a solo artist!

Not sure if this has been mentioned but Ellie Goulding herself has tweeted saying this is an illegal version of the song and is going to be taken down. It'll probably harm the overall sales now though..

Can someone explain how Ke$ha has stuck around in the Top 40 with Crazy Kids for so long? I like the song, but I am shocked that it's even spent one week in the Top 40, I thought it would flop harder than "C'mon". It hasn't been playlisted by Radio 1 or Capital, it's not being used in an advert, or talent show or anything, it hasn't had THAT much TV airplay... Where is the support coming from?!
