  1. "Pour It Up" was used quite heavily in a segment on Celebrity Juice last night, which probably explains it's recent rise. Also, I think it's fairly obvious why they delete the single versions of tracks. If there's two versions of the exact same song floating about, then it makes sense to delete one, so the other one can climb the charts more. It may not be selling any more copies, but it at least sends it higher up the iTunes chart, meaning it generates more interest and more people will be inclined to buy it etc.
  2. Cannot believe 'Juliet' STILL hasn't been released, that is ridiculous.
  3. "Berserk" is a rip off of 99 Problems and is generally just a terrible mess of a song. Does not deserve #1. Wrecking Ball on the other hand is fantastic. Hope it gets there.
  4. LORDE IS 16?! Wow. She is gonna be huge. I really hope that that stupid inane Fox song doesn't become big, I think it's so stupid, it's not even funny.

Oh it pisses me off so much when they say that, 'this is BRAND NEW from ____' and they play a song that's been around for months.
  6. Looking at the tracklisting for Union J's album which is out in October, the last track on the album is called Skyscraper. Discuss.
  7. Skyscraper is a nice song but on the whole I find it a little underwhelming, I feel like it could have been a lot better and more epic. I also think in the second verse when she says "would it make you feel better" she sounds incredibly flat. I'm so glad it's doing well though, I love her. Made In The USA is one of my favourite songs of the year.

    Rihanna
  9. #108 - Demi Lovato - Made In The USA Heard this on Capital at about 5:45 last night. Hopefully they'll start playing it regularly and it can enter the Top 100, love it.
  10. What's the fastest a song has gone to #1 on iTunes?
  11. 'Lifted' has really grown on me, heard it on the radio today and it's got such an epic sound. Not a patch on 'La La La' though. It'd be nice if Rizzle Kicks could get a number one on their own, although I think 'Lost Generation' is fairly weak.
  12. 'Wildest Moments' is also being used in a TV advert at the moment, which is probably more of an explanation as to why it's risen so much recently, and not the BB usage.
  13. I think his two biggest singles are very much pop singles, obviously with underground influences though. The Power is pop as well but doesn't have that commercial sound that Louder/Hot Right Now/The Feeling do. The Power/Gold Dust/Earthquake aren't quite so poppy, as they don't really fit the pop formula. They're certainly a lot less commercial sounding which is why they don't appeal to radio so much.
  14. Do you reckon? I think The Power is DJ Fresh's noisiest and least commercial sounding tracks, it's a bit of a mess in my opinion. Althought Louder and Hot Right Now were lite dubstep/dnb tracks (and the first of their kind to properly hit the mainstream), they sound far more commercial than the Dizzee track. I really don't like Earthquake though, the girl's vocals annoy me and the drop is just a bit too much for me. It sounds too disjointed.
  15. Oh God I hope not, Broken Strings is probably one of the most overplayed songs of the past five years. I still unwillingly am subjected to it on the playlist at the pub where I work. I also hear it whenever I hear someone with Heart FM on or other radio stations like that. It's a good song, but so so overplayed after all these years.

Same Love just isn't very radio friendly is it? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the song and the video made me cry, but I can't see it getting much airplay. Hope I'm wrong though. I doubt Capital will play Made In The USA, unfortunately. I can see it being off the playlist in the next month or so.
  17. That's true actually, I never hear Lady Gaga in normal clubs and I go out A LOT... I can't even think of many times I've heard her being played in gay clubs. Telephone definitely gets played at the gay clubs that I go to, but I can't think of any other songs I've heard much.
  18. Am I right in thinking that The Wanted have now released FOUR singles ahead of this new album of their's? Chasing The Sun (#2) Lightning (#2) Walks Like Rihanna (#4) We Own The Night I'm guessing they're gonna release a fifth single before they release the album though? If so, surely that's taking the piss a bit - five (or maybe more) singles before an album drops!
  19. I predict she'll be #1 this time tomorrow. Then stay there for the rest of the week. Poor Ellie :(

Whatever happens, it's gonna be a tight one. I think Ellie will just clinch it though, and I really hope so, she deserves a #1.
  21. Does anyone know yet if Burn charted in the Top 200 this week thanks to the Alienator remix being in the charts for most of Sunday?
  22. I'll be surprised if Ellie can hold on to the #1 spot for the whole week, I imagine Avicii will take over by Tuesday/Wednesday and ultimately come out on top :(
  23. I unashamedly love Hoedown Throwdown and can do the dance in full. I can't see Ellie Goulding beating Avicii to #1 next week. I reckon next week the charts will be: #1 Avicii #2 Ellie Goulding #3 Miley Cyrus #4 Klangkarrussell #5 Lana Del Rey

Moves Like Jagger finally removed from the playlist, two years after it was released. The Heart FM playlist is an absolute joke.
  25. I really don't think Gaga will get a #1 with Applause unless it's something quite amazing.
