I feel there's not been enough praise for Disciples getting to #4 without a reduction to 59p. It doesn't feel like a hit at all. I'm so pleased cos it's one of my absolute favourites of 2017 so far

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 7th April 2017
It's one of the best of 2017 so far, so glad it's slowly becoming a hit. Reminds me of Saving My Life by Gorgon City which wasn't even close to being a hit but was so good!

New Release Schedule: Friday 24 March
Ella Eyre is playing a show in London next week and promised there'd be new music in time for it. So I am guessing her new single will be out this Friday.

OCC: "We will look into the way charts are compiled"
This whole Ed thing might actually be a good thing. It will give the OCC a kick up the arse to do something about streaming slowing down the charts. I really think there'll be quite a drastic rule change within a couple of months.

#135 Zak Abel - Unstable Lovely to see this fairly high - it deserves to do so much better though. This guy honestly has the potential to be the next George Ezra/Sam Smith. Incredible voice, incredibly talented.

#1 Rag n Bone Man - Human I'm so bored of this song but it's so nice to see someone other than Sheeran at the top.

Where'll Ed Sheeran's album tracks debut?
Lemonade got most of the tracks in the top 100 didn't it? I remember every track being top 40 on iTunes at least

Chart Predictions for 2017
Only just getting round to this for this year... always interesting to look back and see how right/wrong we got it! I'm thinking... First off, this year will be ED SHEERAN YEAR - Ed will headline Glastonbury - Ed will have the number 1 single for at least 10 weeks (although not necessarily consecutive) - Ed will have the number 1 album for at least 16 weeks (again, not necessarily consecutive) - Ed will break some sort of streaming record with his album Other predictions: - Matt Terry's debut single will flop massively - Liam Payne will have a hit - Harry Styles will have a hit - Nicki Minaj will get a #1 - George Ezra will come back to great success - Sam Smith WON'T come back as many have expected him to - he'll wait til 2018 - Katy Perry will return with a huge song, kicking off another huge era - Calvin Harris will release a #1 album with huge stars featuring - Taylor Swift will release a #1 album - Beyonce will clean up at the Grammys - Little Mix will win a BRIT award - Fifth Harmony's first single without Camila will do very well - Anne-Marie will get a top 5 single - Zara Larsson's album won't be released until the second half of the year - Honey G will be dropped by Syco by April - Lorde will have a huge year

2017 Tips
I think we're still long overdue drum n bass being a huge trend. There were a few songs around 2011/2012 (e.g. Hot Right Now, Gold Dust) but no mass domination

2017 Tips
I haven't seen a thread like this yet, apologies if there is one already. Which songs do we think could do well in the UK next year? I have a couple: Bebe Rexha - I Got You Insanely catchy pop song, very radio friendly, hasn't charted anywhere yet but I'm willing it to do well in the new year: pUUGJD-JjGA Zak Abel - Unstable I've been willing this guy to do well for years. I'm hoping 2017 is finally his year. He is insanely talented and his songs are all catchy as hell. His album is out in Feb, I'm hoping he at least gets nominated for Sound of 2017. cC7rEd5dfwk Any others??

Christmas Number One Single Odds
Out of interest, how did last year's Christmas week go? Did the charity song lead from the start? I rememebr there being more media attention towards the end of the week but can't remember if it was already a foregone conclusion at the start that nhs would win?
