Yes I didn't really give much thought to the final 8 but it's true most of them were completely random who weren't shown doing anything remarkable beforehand. Only the old guy (100 I think) and the baby's father (333) had any meaningful action in previous games. But then I quite liked that in a way as it could have just been the predictable ones with most of the prior screen time all making the final 8...

Honestly those actions you're referring to totally reminded me of Magnussen in the Miami Sprint last season (just a little more exaggerated) so wasn't completely beyond the absurd. And the last race shenanigans could totally have been reality given what actually happened in 2021... The only thing I thought was way OTT was the crash at Monza but then I was reminded of an F3 crash a few years ago where a car went over some sausage kerbs and vaulted into orbit. But for the driver's teammate to get the blame was a bit ludicrous.
