Lewis Capaldi - Wish You The Best (#1) - better ballad than pointless but still unmemorable

David Kushner - Daylight (#3) - nope. given this a few chances but it's complete musical garbage

Post Malone - Chemical (#11) weak song. i dislike this direction for him, need more goodbyes/better nows please

Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj - Princess Diana (#22) - beat is good but sadly ice spice is just a shit rapper, so this sucks

Strandz - J'Adore (#59) - this has a nice flow to it, prefer it to us against the world

Jorja Smith - Try Me (#60) - this had potential but needed a stronger hook. video better than song also

Taylor Swift - Karma (#68) - sonically similar to style this one, passable

Sigala, Mae Muller and Caity Baser - Feels This Good (feat. Stefflon Don) (#93) - rap part is totally needless (like all stefflon's features) but otherwise this is a fun lively bop

Jazzy - Giving Me (#98) - lush organ house production (need more of that in the charts) and strong vocals make this the clear highlight of this week

Nines - Tony Soprano 2 (#11) - this is very strong rap, shame it missed top 10

The Weeknd - Double Fantasy (feat. Future) (#14) - another great weeknd vocal, quite the earworm

HStikkytokky and General G - Twust (#21) - reminds me of that joe weller track from years ago, not much to see here

Tyler, The Creator - See You Again (feat. Kali Uchis) (#36) - this one is a bit messy, it's a miss from me

Kim Petras and Nicki Minaj - Alone (#37) - BRAVE sample choice but i actually quite like this, very good vocal delivery

Ed Sheeran - Boat (#46) - very mid song, not a surprise this didn't make the top 40

Rudimental, Charlotte Plank and Vibe Chemistry - Dancing Is Healing (#66) - nice to see Rudi going back to their DnB roots

Agust D - Haegeum (#77) - the BTS alumni invasion really is here now then, what a heap of shite this song is

Florence + The Machine - Mermaids (#95) - standard florence fodder

A few drivers have stated they'll treat the sprint as a practice session. I can also see teams being much more willing to drop out of the race to protect an engine for the real event if they're running way out of the points

 

Yep that's very true, although at least with Baku there's a lot of jeopardy and the chance for chaos so even the backmarkers could still pluck a P8 out of nowhere. At the other tracks though that is where this format will likely suffer.

The fact that the completely redundant Saturday FP2 session has been dropped already makes this an improved format.

The 2 standouts for me were MONOMYTH & 1v1 so switching them around would have indeed changed the winner but the latter part of my post remains my sentiment so 1v1 was fairly locked in as my 12, great find Bre!

 

I thought the 2 trance entries would be competing for the win here but great to see Redemption go down so well! When searching for entries I knew this was the one from my first listen. Half of my wins now coming from recycling BJSC acts then (one day it'll happen the other way around!)
