Congratulations RobBot! I was curious to know if this was the first example of a winning song title rhyming with its act's name but after double-checking it turns out she pronounces it "Mettah" which is surprisingly disappointing.

 

Pretty decent top 10 on the whole with 6 of my votes making it in. Ingermanlandia not even making 100 points is by far the most egregious outcome of these results.

Group stage matches are all about getting 3 points on the board, we've had 6-1 and 6-2 victories under Southgate in the past but that's all irrelevant when the KOs begin and everything is reset. We just need to win the group and if grinding 1-0 wins is what it takes then so be it, that's what we did at the last Euros and got all the way to the final in the end.

 

Bellingham and Saka were great, Kane and Foden completely anonymous. Might be worth bringing in a different forward player in one of the next 2 games.

They are ridiculous but it's really the 2030 edition that's scuppered things for other nations. Europe & South America in particular bending over to FIFA's desires to have a multi-continental 100th anniversary tournament and accepting a pitiful number of games has screwed over the rest of the confederations.

Foden is wasted on the left but of course he's not gonna play in his preferred number 10 role as long as Bellingham is around.

England is ineligible to host in 2038 due the to the cycling rules (basically as some European countries will host in 2030 the whole confederation is barred from hosting the next 2 editions) so it'll almost certainly be in the US again.

I believe this is the second time Scotland have played in the first match of a major tournament, 1998 World Cup against Brazil and now Euro 2024 against Germany?

Unfortunately I will not be able to vote this year annoyingly. I am away on the election day so applied for a postal vote however they date they intended to send me the documents also falls within the time I'm away. So the only remaining option is a proxy vote but I don't know anyone in my electoral area who would be able to (or that I would trust) to vote on my behalf.
