Olly Murs - Save Me
Quite an interesting strategy. I’m quite surprised he didn’t have it out in time for the tour.

Ed Sheeran - Drive
It says he co-wrote it on the Apple Music credits of the song.

Radio 1 Discussion
When is Radio 1 Anthems launching on DAB?
-
Richard Ashcroft - Lover
I know the credited sample in this but part of it reminded me of something else. In the “talkin bout my lover” part it sounds a bit like the drop in The Chainsmokers ‘Closer’.

Calum Bowie - The World Outside
Wasn’t this called “Stay A While” and was on his EP he released?
-
Richard Ashcroft - Lover
It’s quite poppy and not what I was expecting. I’m quite liking it though!
-
Biffy Clyro - A Little Love
They are getting on a bit now so I'm quite surprised Radio 1 are still going to continue to support them. I'm not complaining though. Looking forward to hear the new music!

Sam Ryder - White Lies
I agree. The problem with Sam he hasn't released anything that is as strong as 'Space Man'. I wasn't particularly excited about it when it was originally announced for Eurovision at the time but I was listening to it the other day and it's just a great song and has something the rest of his material is lacking.

United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2025
It’s nice to see them doing interviews after the contest. In previous years if the UK don’t do well no one’s interested and you never hear from them again.

Total bangers not on streaming that DIDN'T get to #1
That’s quite the coincidence. I post that then after all these years it gets added. Thanks for posting, I wouldn’t have probably noticed otherwise.

United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2025
You would never have had this sort of thing prior to 2022. So regardless of the results the general good will to the entrants has been good to see.

Friend of Mine (Soundtrack Single) - Out Friday 16th May
I imagine this will make more sense played during the film as I wouldn’t have said it was a song from The Smurfs movie.

United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2025
Watching back the staging is giving X Factor live show performance.

United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2025
After watching the final product for me the staging and song is no better than anything we sent in the 10 years prior to Sam Ryder. The chandelier is as effective as the trumpets were for James Newman. The girls themselves are fantastic and with the right song, staging and having a label that could put a bit of money into it they would do well but this isn’t it. They really could have went with ‘Prove Me Right’ with very basic staging and it would do far better than this.

United Kingdom · Eurovision Song Contest 2025
The staging needed to be on point for this but it’s not the best. To the point I would say very basic and boring. I feel it’s been done on a budget since there is no label involved this year.

Bryan Adams - Roll With The Punches
It’s quite a good track. He could do with turning the vocals up a bit in the mix though. Sounds like he recorded it in the room next door.

Total bangers not on streaming that DIDN'T get to #1
I wish the radio mix of Damian Rice - Cannonball was on streaming.
-
Ed Sheeran - Old Phone
Yeah this feels like more a promo single. ‘Sapphire’ I think is going to be the next proper single
-
Ed Sheeran - Play
I read it's out next month.
-
Maroon 5 & LISA - Priceless
They should have just kept the writing between the band because this is awful.

Cammy Barnes - Whiskey Roll This is incredibly catchy. Had it stuck in my head since I heard clip of it on TikTok.
-
Ed Sheeran - Play
‘Sapphire’ from the clips I’ve heard sounds like the massive hit. Quite surprised didn’t go with it as the lead.
