  1. The 60’s one looks really good! Proper classic Rock & Roll on Disc 3 which I’m in love with. sigh Guess I’ll have to add this one to the collection - I’m running out of space!
  2. It was a big hit in January/February 2022, and shown up on Now 111, but Disney songs are often hit or miss in being represented on numbered Nows. Golden is one of those, still too big, but could also be akin to Kate Bush and Running Up That Hill in 2022. Made big by Netflix but won’t make it on a compilation due to being too big. Could have made Now 112 or Now 113 otherwise. I am gutted it didn’t make it, as it was the biggest smash over the last 3 months. But hey ho, this is what Now is all about!
  3. Disco Eras one is a wasted one. No big names as mentioned and a lot of these are already on the Yearbooks. If anyone wanted this they could have just recreated the track list themselves with tracks from the Yearbook on a computer.
  4. I’m majorly upset that The Simpsons didn’t make it. Whilst they were produced by Michael Jackson in an era that makes his music non-licensable, I thought they had a sliver of a chance due to the label they’re currently on. Gutted that they and the following didn’t make it: Queen - BoRhap/These Are The Days/Innuendo Enigma - Sadness Part I Bryan Adams - Everything I Do Right Said Fred - I’m Too Sexy 2 Unlimited - Get Ready For This Also, the inconsistency. The Prodigy are here (gladly) with Charly but not on ‘92 with Everybody In The Place. Also ‘93 with One Love. Though, this gives me hope for Firestarter, Breathe and No Good.
  5. I know it’s a bit off-topic but have you heard of iBroadcast? You use their app to upload your MP3s and then you can stream them on the go on your phone. Back on topic: I feel like they’re going to struggle with Yearbook 1991, due to an array of licensing issues stemming from big hits from Bryan Adams and The Simpsons all the way down to rave songs and their sampling issues. It might be a Yearbook 1993 all over again. I have felt that the 90’s Yearbooks have been weaker than the 80’s ones, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
  6. This feels like another filler compilation. I’ll give this one a miss, and await the next one.
  7. I would love to see KC & The Sunshine Band on there with ‘Shake Shake Shake (Shake Your Booty)’. A Top 40 hit sure but would be perfect for the Extra as it’s a very memorable song.
  8. Seems they’re covering dance classics from that era. Seems okay, but I think all those artists mentioned have appeared on other NOW albums.
  9. I’d like to see a 70’s Yearbook next. I honestly don’t mind which, but they do need to bring the attention back to the 70’s, even if for one year. I’m curious, and this may seem a while out if it does happen but, do you think they’ll do the 60’s? It could really make the Yearbook collection worth something if they expand into that decade.
  10. Agreed. There were big dance numbers that year and a lot were missed. Such a shame. I don’t understand NOWs obsession with Suzanne Vega, or David Sylvian for that matter.
  11. I’ve bought ‘97 and saw the tracklist for this one and I have to say, this year is a weak year for the Yearbook series. Does anyone else feel this way? What are the major omissions from these releases and what could be the reason? I understand that these releases individually are somewhat affordable but at the moment it feels like NOW are reaching into their bargain bin of licensing and slapping any old cheap track on here. P.S. I’m specifically upset about the Teletubbies not making the cut.
  12. This week's chart comes a little early as I'll be absent all of tomorrow (Monday). So, this is the one we've all been waiting for! (Me, Myself & I). Time for the Christmas Top 20 and the Christmas No.1! Who will claim the spot? Feeder took it to 5 weeks at No.1 last week but will they keep going for a sixth week and be crowned Christmas No.1? Stay tuned to find out! http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/77535930.jpghttp://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/35843665.pnghttp://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/33141405.pnghttp://a3.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music/v4/94/ae/9f/94ae9ff1-deb5-3a55-4199-1492e975e4d4/cover.170x170-75.jpghttp://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/49819307.png :no1: Hot Action Cop - Fever For The Flava - [19-5-3-4-2-2-3-1-1-1-2-2-2-2-2-1] (16 weeks) QAURo0rwt6g #2 Feeder - Buck Rogers - [11-5-3-2-3-3-2-1-1-1-1-1-2] (13 weeks) #3 The Prodigy - Omen - [13-10-7-7-6-7-4-3-4-3-4-4-3] (13 weeks) #4 Tujamo & Plastik Funk feat. Gutted about Love Generation. Then again, it only peaked at No.12 in the Official Charts. Shocked at it's 17 week chart run though, impressive! That song just holds loads of teenage memories for me. Happy to see KT Tunstall and Mylo vs. Miami Sound Machine within the Top 10. Goldfrapp are great but Ooh La La was way overplayed back then due to its use in a car advert I think? 'Biology' is a bit of a guilty pleasure, admittedly. Kelly Clarkson at the top does seem predictable. Ah well, on to the next one! (I hope?)
  14. Well, thanks for the comment JollySaintG, from last week. Appreciate it! So following on, Feeder is still hanging on for a fifth week at the top. Beating Andrew W.K.'s record run at the top! But will the track last? After all, it's battle for the Christmas No.1 next week! http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/35843665.pnghttp://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/77535930.jpghttp://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/87910983.pnghttp://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/33141405.pnghttp://a3.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music/v4/94/ae/9f/94ae9ff1-deb5-3a55-4199-1492e975e4d4/cover.170x170-75.jpg :no1: Feeder - Buck Rogers - [11-5-3-2-3-3-2-1-1-1-1-1] (12 weeks) COy_JKXtzvE #2 Hot Action Cop - Fever For The Flava - [19-5-3-4-2-2-3-1-1-1-2-2-2-2-2] (15 weeks) #3 Spice Girls - Holler - [20-20-8-8-6-6-5-5-3-3] (10 weeks) #4 The Prodigy - Omen - [13-10-7-7-6-7-4-3-4-3-4-4] (12 weeks) #5 Tujamo & Plastik Funk feat. 15. I can see why no one comments here. Same songs, different week. Songs that have no current relevance to anyone's tastes. But, I shall keep going, regardless! Keeping it real at 4 weeks is Feeder's 'Buck Rogers'! Matching Andrew W.K.'s record of 4 weeks at the top spot. But could they wind up rivalling Sonic Boom Six by keeping it at the top for a fifth week next week? Stay tuned(!) http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/35843665.pnghttp://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/77535930.jpghttp://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/87910983.pnghttp://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/126s/33141405.pnghttp://a3.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music/v4/94/ae/9f/94ae9ff1-deb5-3a55-4199-1492e975e4d4/cover.170x170-75.jpg :no1: Feeder - Buck Rogers - [11-5-3-2-3-3-2-1-1-1-1] (11 weeks) COy_JKXtzvE #2 Hot Action Cop - Fever For The Flava - [19-5-3-4-2-2-3-1-1-1-2-2-2-2] (14 weeks) #3 Spice Girls - Holler - [20-20-8-8-6-6-5-5-3] (9 weeks) #4 The Prodigy - Omen - [13-10-7-7-6-7-4-3-4-3-4] (11 weeks) #5 Tujamo & Plastik Funk feat.
