    Definitely nothing on Radio 1.
  3. I make it that My Heart Will Go On is the 26th song to return to the top spot in the same chart run. Two of those ( I Believe by Frankie Laine and Singing The Blues by Guy Mitchell ) had 3 turns at number 1 in the same chart run.
  4. Congratulations ( sort of ) to Alex Warren as Ordinary is the UKs most popular song for a record equaling 18th week. Golden by Huntr/X / Ejae / Audrey Nuna / Rei Ami number 1 tonight on SCR sales of 42,853. Ordinary by Alex Warren number 9 on ACR sales of 25,438 but if still on SCR, it's sales would be 49,590.
  5. surely Paranoid by Black Sabbath at 32 deserves a play instead of songs that have been around forever like Beautiful Things. Could even dig out the Pops performance from September 1970 and show that.
  6. Confirmation in the sales report that Ordinary by Alex Warren would be number 1 for week 17 if still on SCR ( that includes last week as predicted ) Tonight: Daisies at number 1 on SCR sales of 40,643 Ordinary at number 7 on ACR sales of 27,571 but pre-adjusted sales of 53,884.
  7. 3 of the 4 weeks since it left the number 1 spot.
  8. I'm calling it. Alan Jones does not mention it in the sales report, but surely Ordinary by Alex Warren would still be number 1 tonight if not on ACR Dior number 1 on SCR sales of 42,157. Ordinary by Alex Warren number 7 on ACR sales of 27,602.
  9. Who do you think should be presenting these shows ?
  10. Dior by MK featuring Chrystal number 1 tonight on SCR sales of 39,701 Ordinary by Alex Warren number 8 on ACR sales of 26,594 but would still be number 1 if on SCR with sales of 52,191
  11. We have just had the provisional schedule for the 25th July and the 1998 shows continue at 7pm : 7pm - 20th February - Jo Whiley ( Happy 60th Birthday today Jo !! ) 7.30pm - Jayne Middlemiss There will then be a Prom at 8pm and the retro hour from 9.40pm. Hopefully that will be the pattern from now on during Prom season - according to my calculations, BBC4 can finish 1998 on the week before Christmas if there are no more breaks.
  12. Manchild by Sabrina Carpenter number 1 tonight on SCR sales of 45,756. Ordinary by Alex Warren dropped from 1 to 9 on ACR sales of 28,702 but would still be number 1 if on SCR with sales of 56,289.
  13. 1998 will return on the 18th July with a double bill at 7pm. 6 February - Zoe Ball presenting 13 February - Jayne Middlemiss presenting
  14. The gap between Never Ever at 1 and Bamboogie at number 2 was in fact 557 sales according to this article on the OCC website. https://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/the-closest-battles-for-number-1-on-the-official-singles-chart__22356/
  15. Tonight we will have the 9th and 16th January shows Next Friday - the 23rd and 30th January shows. We then take a break from 1998 for a fortnight ( cannot see the schedule for 11 July yet ) 27 June Glastonbury 4 July - Test Cricket highlights.
