I’m finding a lot of the reviews very inconsistent and unfair but Katy’s never gotten a good critical reception so I’m not bothered. Much. Even Teenage Dream got a meh reception from critics (OF COURSE when it smashed they suddenly changed their minds and put it on the decade-end lists)

I’ve never been huge on Pandora and AS1 didn’t help that (even if she hadn’t been paired with Mimi I doubt she’d have got very far), but that might’ve been a little harsh.

Listen to both if you haven’t already and vote on the superior Champagne Problems! Idk what the vote on here will be (even on Buzzjack, how many of y’all know Meghan Trainor album tracks) but this is actually really hard for me :lol: Champagne Problems is ridiculously catchy and should’ve been a single but the lyrics aren’t great, they aren’t amazing on Katy’s one either tbf. Katy’s has that similar house sound (that I LOVE from her) and packs a bit more of a punch and builds up a bit more over the song. Went for Katy :cool:

I’ve just skipped to ‘Love Is Religion’ because I heard a snippet of it and it is GORGEOUS, exactly the sound I’d imagined when she announced this club project :wub: I’ve listened to about half the tracks but I can already tell this is way more enjoyable as a full piece (Levitating remix still meh though) so at least I can appreciate this project even if I won’t necessarily return to most of the song individually.

I love to see a Saturday on TV so much in 2020 but I don’t get how she’s so successful :lol: on The Hit List and especially if I catch This Morning while she’s on her presenting is so bland. Mollie is a better presenter, this made me scream the other day :cheeseblock: yt6VybbWAIA

There’s really no need for Jan, Plastique, Kameron or Silky to return imo, not this soon for Jan at least and I like the first two of those. Sorry I just really wanted to see Jessica and Dida lmao :( The majority of the cast coming from two of the weaker seasons (imo) isn’t it.

No matter what the charts show, I think this era has restored a lot of goodwill amongst the GP towards Katy even if she’s not the hitmaker of the 10’s. Such a contrast from the backlash she received during Witness for...idek now lmao which was horrible to watch.

I enjoy Harley’s a lot but agree it’s not suited to the album, I much prefer it to Small Talk but that sounds more in-line. Despite choice ass lyrics I highkey want High On Your Supply on the international album as well *.*

I think it’s a Kworb problem. High Expectations is #84 on the pop albums chart on Apple Music. 5SOS are #85 and are at #484 in the overall chart, so Mabel’s probably about there. Top 1500 or not, going from below #400 to #15 is hardly representative :kink: That pop albums streaming chart is really interesting, wasn’t expecting to see Lily Allen’s It’s Not Me album up there. Can that be top 100 plz :cheeseblock:
