  1. 24. Round & Round Average: 7.03 I'm falling hard for you: George.keh (9.5) Andrew., Josh (9) And then I watch them drop: blacksquare, Wall (4) Bjork (5) The majority of The Scene singles and every Scene lead single now out, as 'Round & Round' brings the average up to a 7. Round & Round is the early 10's dance/electro-pop that was ubiquitous (fave word) in Selena's early career, and it's catchiness showed in it becoming the band's highest peaking song at the time on the Hot 100 at #24. I'm a sucker for 2009-2013 style dance pop and this is NOT an exception, the chorus is catchy as anything and its got one of my favourite vocals from Selena before she embraced whisper pop. I'd maybe have this a lil higher but I only gave 12 songs less than a 9 so not that much oop.
  2. Yeah Past Life could even be a top 10 contender in a year's time, it was pretty close! Next group of two coming at 5pm *.*
  3. tSIk1QvIM2E 25. Boyfriend Average: 6.88 Not feeling anti you and me: George.keh, Tombo (10) Andrew. (9.5) Just keep hitting dead ends: Bjork (3) Dexton (4) No single cover (2020 :drama:) so if you've never seen the video enjoy 'Boyfriend' was the single from the four new tracks on the deluxe version of 'Rare' and it's performance showed it should've just been on the original album, as it missed top 40 in virtually every major territory. Was it on Hot Hits/Radio One here? I seem to remember the latter vaguely. It becomes the first single from Stars Dance, Revival or Rare to drop out and is also the last song to average below 7, which is normally my barometer for 'good' so BuzzJack bops only from now on I guess aha. I want a boyfriend, but I just keep hitting dead ends :jump: :jump: This (as well as the re-release of Rare) has felt like a bit of a non-event so I'm not shocked at this finishing low, but the bass in this is soooo addictive ugh. It's Selena at her best and an absolute bop, shame on y'all. Another 6 coming tomorrow x

The blue and pink version of Taylor's Lover album was down from £39.99 to £16.99 the other day so of course I had to :cheeseblock: Everytime I've been in HMV I've meant to buy a specific item but end up going for the deals, a cheapskate.
  5. 26. Past Life (w/ Trevor Daniel) Average: 6.81 Perfect, perfect timing: JosephStyles (10) Andrew. (9) You can never figure me out: blacksquare, Nina West (4) George.keh, Wall (5) 'Past Life' is the newest song in the rate and probably shows its newness in a bottom 10 placing. Past Life is the follow up to UK #12 smash Falling and is already making progress in America, we can only hope it follows through here *.* I can't get enough of this atm, Selena lowkey sounds better than on any 'Rare' song Not that she sounds bad on them lmao I always love her voice, but you can tell she feels the music here. A respectable showing for SUCH a new song, I think if we'd run this in a few months time it'd be top 15 for sure. Final result tonight: The first single from a Selena solo album to drop out, what will it be? :o
  6. 27. Taki Taki (w/ DJ Snake, Ozuna & Cardi B) Average: 6.62 Báilame como si fuera la última vez: JosephStyles, Liam, ...ready for it (9) Andrew., Josh!, Tombo, UltraBeKind, Wall (8) You hoes got no class, you bitches is broke: Tawdry Hepburn (0) Jade (4) 'Taki Taki' was a single with DJ Snake as lead, featuring Ozuna and of course Cardi as well as Selena. Although it may have undersold expectations a tad here and maybe in America where it missed top 10 (considering this was at Cardi's PEAK tho she'll be more of an Iggy than a Nicki imo) the impact this had in Latin America was colossal, getting to #1 in 15 countries and becoming Selena's second song to reach 1 billion on Youtube (We Don't Talk Anymore being the first, when will this girl get a solo one) and first on Spotify. I get the grating criticisms this gets and I go through long phases where I don't listen, but when I do it's irresistible. Even Cardi's haters have to admit she delivers in her verse and Selena sounds so sensual, I'm straight Two more results coming at 11pm then that's it for tonight :D
  7. 28. Falling Down Average: 6.50 Like you're some new sensation: Andrew. (9) Jade, Liam, Tombo (8) You gave me roses but they're all just made of plastic: blacksquare (3) Wall (4) The purge of Scene singles continues as 'Falling Down' says bye! It was the band's debut single and underperformed, only reaching #82 in America although it smashed in Japan, Nolan Sisters teas. It kinda resulted in the initial US underperformance of Kiss & Tell, which is the only Selena-related album (apart from 'For You') to miss the top 5 in the US. Queen of backwards career trajectories :cheeseblock: Again this was very much a 6/7 rated song by most of y'all. I'd say this is my second fave Scene single actually, it's pop-rock of it's time but a wonderful pop song!
  8. The answer lies in your post x I don't think I've heard Groovejet or Murder Of The Dancefloor either
  9. Jealous & Rocket as well.
  10. I never thought of it this way but...this *.* Not her absolute best yet but one of them, same for the video
  11. You may or may not be waiting a while for that one x 29. Who Says Average: 6.40 I wouldn't want to be anybody else: Josh! (10) Andrew., Cameron, Liam, Riser (8.5) Nothing's funny when it's you: Tombo (2) Tawdry Hepburn (3) 2/4 songs from When The Sun Goes Down have left in the bottom six, as fan fave 'Who Says' is 29th. The song is a self esteem anthem (DJ Khaled 'another one') and was the lead single from the album, becoming a success in America reaching #21, the group's highest! It fared less well here getting to #51 but it suffered from being OA/OS and I wouldn't be surprised if it's racked up a good overall sales tally. She did that! I know it's not the most original but what the f***, I'll always love a good self empowerment anthem and this is one of them. The song is a total earworm from start to finish, the 'who says, who says you're not' hook is golden *.* This is deffo highly regarded by her stans so I'm surprised this has done poorly, relatively here. Love You Like A Love Song should've been the lead single of that album though, let's be honest <3
  12. 30. Trust Nobody (w/ Cashmere Cat & Tory Lanez) Average: 6.21 Got a body like Selena: Dexton (10) Nina West (8.5) You know I don't trust: Cameron, UltraBeKind (4) George.keh (4.5) Released as the 2nd single from Ariana-collaborator Cashmere Cat's debut album, 'Trust Nobody' continues the run of low 6's averages. The song is very much in the style of Selena's more slow burning tracks, except not as good. It was a very minor hit over here but becomes the first song to have charted in the UK, reaching #92 in November 2016. This got my lowest score in the rate so I won't be starting a campaign for its' justice anytime soon :kink: I still gave it a 6, the instrumental is great and catchy but Selena's vocal isn't the usual slinky style that makes these tracks so perfect. It's also quite of its time, but I do like it anyway. Just not as much as the rest of these gems. As you can tell the average sums up the scores it got (I hope that makes sense lol), hardly any high ones but hardy any low ones either.
  13. Next result coming up at 6pm :cheeseblock:
  14. Me filling in my report to Stonewall at this result
  15. Boom Clap again ty

Aww. RIP Paula, I have really early memories of Betty and she was a queen
  18. Turns out Blair acts like a teenager as well as resembling one, I’m finding her really annoying this season. 2 faced as others have said and incredibly entitled for her questionable track record. I don’t wanna be all Big Brother (I do) but get her out. I can’t deny Alexis was in the bottom two and probably the worst of the night based on her first outfit alone but she will be missed. Loved her in Season 3 but along with Cracker I’ve properly connected to her this time. The lip sync should’ve been to I’m a mess tbh, one of the worst in a while
  19. God tier Katy Never Really Over V good Daisies Harleys In Hawaii Smile Cute for what it is Cozy Little Christmas Meh Small Talk Even more meh 365 Never Worn White Not heard/Don't remember Con Calma
  20. 31. Live Like There's No Tomorrow Average: 6.18 We can find a way to do anything: Jonjo (11) Andrew., George.keh, Nina West, Tawdry Hepburn (8) We'll (not) do this together: Tombo (1) Wall (2) Bad news for Jonjo as the second promo single in a row, 'Live Like There's No Tomorrow', crashes out of the top 30 </3 It earnt its' status through being used in the film 'Ramona and Beezus', but that wasn't enough for it to chart in the US which as it's a Selena song means the GP must've really not stanned it :kink: Me & The Rhythm and Feel Me are the two promotional singles left, how long will they last? Honestly this is pretty af, I don't usually associate Selena with ballads (if this can be called one) but then I remember one of her top 10 songs (Camoflage) and realise she can produce them when she tries and this is lovely.
  21. 32. Bang Bang Bang Average: 6.03 Got more swagger than you: Andrew. (9) Josh!, Liam (8) I hope you slip and fall and trip: blacksquare (2) Bjork (3) Another song getting a low position is promo single 'Bang Bang Bang', from Selena Gomez & The Scene's (has their ever been a more pointless band no offence lmao) last album. It was the second overall song released from the album, and charted at #94 in the US! I wasn't expecting to this to finish high but idk why it hasn't gotten more love, I hadn't heard it prior to the rate and I'd guess a lot of y'all would be the same? Like Anxiety before it, there weren't a load of awful scores but lots of meh, 13/19 rates were in the 5-7 range. This is perfect bouncy electropop, Selena's bubbly vocal is spot on. Been playing this a lot recently
  22. I lowkey forgot Britney, Christina and Justin were ever on Disney :') I was thinking along the lines of Demi, Miley, Bridget Mendler etc. Miley's peak was 100x bigger but Selena has the consistency. And I meant quality x Next two coming up!
  23. I wholeheartedly agree with this post x That must be the first time since 2010? Legendary eras only
  24. I think they could easily get a Westlife-sized hit, but because they’re a female pop act it’s not gonna be as easy. Also, this sounds obvious but it can’t be on the level of Headlines, the reason React and Hello My Love has sustained chart runs is they obviously clicked with the public beyond first week reunion hype. If they put in the effort which I’m sure they will then I wouldn’t be shocked at a low top 10 hit.
