confirmed an indie rock banger from 2004 then re-confirmed to a band I'd sent to nuggets previously bc this particular track is reminiscent of neutral milk hotel and I see they exceeded expectations while I was away 👀

Not motherna vaccine lee jumping over floppiah :cheeseblock:

was thinking about sending this to instrumentals for the laughs but I might just recycle another artist instead anyway in case you were wondering, greet death might've (bc unconfirmed) taken inspiration from another pagasa artist: hjx2EnekZvg

it’s just incredible that the same person who was doing diy circuits 8-9 years ago performing this now has a pop hit J1bIyrIoaHo (sidenote: a return to grungey Mitski would be amazing, she has admitted herself she has limited guitar skills but her vocals command everything when she performs with a guitar in hand. the interpretive dance stuff she does live now is very beautiful as well and bring out a different side to those songs, but there’s just nothing like raw uninhibited Mitski)

I feel like a proud mother right now. I can't believe it

oh mannnnn

uVi-YgYB0bU "you're gonna hate what you've done" from new hell (2019) you really will tho. regardless, thank you to the following nations with taste: Jadakissnia +8 Aelandor +7 Beaverdonia +6 Suedeonia +6 Thelonia +6 Aeroche +2 Séyetana +1

well I was certainly borderline lol

I have an idea for one I’ll try to draw it up soon x

noooo it should be whoever is picked first among all 66 entrants is the winner, and whoever is picked last is the loser bc the spinner avoided landing on their stank ass until it had no choice. also bc this way I would be 5th

spun 5 times and it landed on harmonica twice 🫢

5vSIKyXN1-o bjsc 158 | greet death – new hell from new hell (2019) slow-churning, moody shoegaze with a heavy edge and a transcendent climax

oh my god not jaboukie 😭😭😭

if you wanna break it down to its core the whole “scene” is made up of upper-class people who larp as revolutionaries and are angry they didn’t lead the Marxist revolution in 2016. they were the ones most vulnerable to being scooped up by the right, bc they were motivated purely by their standing in political circles and probably didnt even believe what they were preaching anyway. it’s purely just being anti-establishment for the aesthetic with zero underlying principles, which Russell brand always kind of struck me as anyway lmao, like a 13 year old being anarchist for the first time

y’all need to catch up on the post-left/MAGA communism. grifters who made a name as socialists during the bernie/corbyn heyday, realized pandering to the alt-right made more money, and now ally with people who spout reactionary nonsense nonsense or spout reactionary nonsense themselves while dressing it up in Marxist terminology. lots of them funded by venture capitalists with reactionary views like Peter thiel, also big proponents of culture war bullshit. i haven’t paid attention to Russell brand in years but it seems from what others have said he’s gone down this route.

lmaoooo I just saw this… deadass when ariana first became a thing I thought she was latina. what could’ve been …

sorryyyy

wardy I have sent an important message. I'm a mess

I’ll get them in real quick hang on I’m sorry

you are my bad dream

tbh I should've sent mine to nuggets instead of what I actually sent, which is about to bomb :') regardless I'm excited to send it here, I feel very strongly about it, much more than my last couple entries. and the album is such an unsung gem too. kept me warm during the first few months of the pandemic.

scratch that going for something from my favorite album of 2019. heavy shoegaze a la deafheaven

1. cute little early 00s indie but it's under 2 minutes 2. banger from a classic mid-00s dance-punk band #indiesleaze

might be 15-20 min late but shall be there

is today still possible? i have plans tn so might not be there the whole time but I’d be down to join for a bit~
