this has to be my first time in the top 50, and if I find myself q-ing and doing semi-well in the last few contests of the year maybe I can push my way into the top 30? 👀

then maybe he should reconsider the welfare queen rhetoric cuz he sounds exactly like them

listenthru when?

at least it’s not a brand new song

omg who entered have a nice life? hope that does better than when I entered them in UP, i regret i didn’t enter “bloodhail” instead. other than that I recognize one other artist apart from my own, looking forward to hearing the songs!

oh jk

would love to see singerpurear thru! hendinia was also a cute little tune, the line "now I'm standing on the edge of my youth" got to me randomly while I was listening bc same !

thank god

aw I liked the bronzil entry but I do think samia has better songs

I'm convinced the real trifoski has been quietly assassinated and taken over by an iPad baby

girl stop stealing bjsc failure valor. you'll be fine (as always) anyway get mine out of the way

I’ve reallly wanted to host a contest after I relinquished my hosting duties the one time I won nuggets all those years back and this one might finally give me another win, classic [undisclosed subgenre] banger from [undisclosed decade]

boats have set sail

also no I’m not in the right semi

I’ll have them in, I’m at work currently, just doing a second listenthru

entered with the hopes that it would be a surprise q like the magnetic fields earlier this year bc it's in the same vein, but that semi draw makes me think I'm coming for a dnq lol cool to see harmonica enter bartees strange again, also intrigued to see how mars volta will do in the other semi! only artists I know from my semi are Corinne Bailey rae and samia (whose 2020 album I really enjoyed), and I guess Sara bareilles/busy phillips which I guess is from a musical?

UuLFaPE9iiI bjsc 157 | sparklehorse – gold day from it's a wonderful life (2001) if you've ever wondered what it would sound like if a parental figure who passed came back to you in a dream in the wee hours of the morning and told you all the words you'd been longing to hear, this one's for you

going for an understated, lovely song I became enamored with earlier this year. don't think it'll do much, might do similar to magnetic fields, but it's a special little tune to me

votes sent, can you confirm Cody? it didn't show up under my sent messages

also I hate to give him more credit than he deserves and people have always pushed back against this idea saying he’s too stupid to be playing 4D chess but I really do think he was trying to bring down that app on purpose knowing it’s the nexus of much of the online left

trying to scrounge around for a bluesky invite, I have mutuals on there but I think invites are limited. and I don’t have it in me to resurrect my tumblr lol

the court itself is the problem. im not gonna pretend to know what the fix is but at the very LEAST, term limits

oooh I wish I could view the chat to gauge reactions
