don’t think I’ve heard anything here, though really excited to hear iceage as I haven’t heard their recent stuff yet. much like DIIV, I loved them when they came out but both kind of fell off my radar until the past couple years. and both appear to be having a kind of renaissance moment which is heartening to see. also excited to hear sophia stel from the other semi! haven’t heard this particular song but I was listening to her heavy earlier this year

tbh even for the alt stuff I really despise the playlist curation on spotify… it’s all so vibey with zero editorial control or regard for the context of a scene or genre. this one’s a little old but I’ll use it as an example: deftones and smashing pumpkins in shoegaze classics.. like yeah they had fuzzy guitars, lots of distortion and reverb but that was nowhere near their scene!!!
