I voted by mail (or rather dropped it off at a location designated by the county) did I do accidentally do a voter fraud peacemob :( in other news, we have a 🚨BALLOT DROP🚨 in PA! bucks county, the most republican of the philly suburban counties has now swung for biden, lead has narrowed to 136k

🤦‍♂️ could this explain miami-dade county?? I've been feeling like the margins there were bizarre, even with cuban-americans showing up for trump it's hard to believe that's enough to go from D+30 in 2016 to D+7 now

my county in PA (Northampton) going to biden with 100% counted :cheeseblock: went to trump last time and was a solid Obama county before. if anyone's watching PA expect lehigh county to also go biden, 33% left to count with trump's lead narrowing (it's also more dem than my county with a more diverse population so there was extremely a red mirage there). philly and the burbs will go blue, even bucks (the most republican of the suburban counties) might go blue!

a lot of it boils down to.... how much of an advantage will the mail in votes really give dems in the end

speaking as a PA resident, and specifically someone from eastern pa where a lot of these swing counties are, I'd take a look at the % reporting before making any assumptions about the trajectory of the race. lackawanna had trump leading a few hours ago but is now solidly biden with 95% reporting (granted that is where biden's hometown is). as more votes come in, look for the same to happen in other eastern PA counties. e.g. no way lehigh county stays with a +11 trump lead with 66% reporting — heavy hispanic/latino population, went to Clinton in 2016. philly burbs should be blue with the exception of bucks county, which is pretty solidly red. chester county will be a tossup, and Northampton county (where I am) is a little more iffy. and of course Pittsburgh too! but western PA is basically a world unfamiliar to me so I can't comment

that's a relief, I was prepared to take a deduction bc ive been stress watching the election results so I'm currently taking a step back from that to draw up some votes

the biggest irony is that proponents of the EC claim it's meant to be a hedge against the "tyranny of the majority" e.g. if the popular vote goes to a candidate the EC deems unfit for the presidency, which, lol is all one can say
