origami angel!!! pleased to see them here, was considering sending "doctor whomst" at some point!

haven't yet even though I made the thread, still trying to catch up with pretty much all of 2021 music-wise lmao. but I'm fully prepared to love it as per. also cannot believe she is supporting harry styles on his tour !!

I’ve reconfirmed, same artist, different song

submitted the closing track from my favorite rock album of the 2010s and don't know how it'll go down as a standalone song bc I can only hear it within the context of the album but! I'm taking the risk

dobago being out is circumcisionist

BEAUTIFUL graphics! also I haven't heard the song but im experiencing a surge of mid-atlantic pride from seeing the title "Wawa by the ocean" (the associated logo should've been a goose) I imagine most people here don't know what a Wawa is but basically it's a combination gas station/eatery/etc/etc popular in the mid-atlantic states famous for hoagies and/or subs and/or gyros and/or whatever else they're called elsewhere

the way that every time I feel like I'm about to send an artist making their bjsc debut, they were already sent by trifoski 💀

really think that barring some random dip in popularity, Mariah could repeat the 90s and end up getting #1 every year this decade lmao

and staying in the top 5 by a hair ain't too bad all things considered! my would-be votes: +12 lemon demon +10 carly rae jepsen +8 tegan and sara +7 donna summer +6 type o negative +5 leona lewis +4 priyanka +3 roy wood +2 Johanna gudrun +1 the creatures

that was simultaneously exciting and painful to watch, glad to not have finished first in the end with the deduction bc that would've been even worse lmao. congrats to terra avium!!

lmao yikes, i had my votes ready but then I thought “let me take a little nap I’ll send them later” and ended up not sending them 🥴 thanks for the votes everyone, don’t know if I’ll stay in the lead with the deduction but I’ll reveal my to-be votes later!

we need a slutjack $l*t contest where we send the filthiest songs we can think of so I can name myself PAWGasa

mine is a banger of the "I'm experiencing seasonal depression during the season of forced cheer" variety

will try to vote next round! really wanted to give bartees strange a chance at redemption (esp considering he would have q'ed if I'd...voted in time) but alas I think I'm just wiped out from joining one (1) contest and qualifying and getting top 20! idk how y'all do it

oooh good to see this at #11, thank you! I'd highly recommend the album this song is from, those who tell the truth shall die, those who tell the truth shall live forever! the earth is not a cold dead place and all of a sudden I miss everyone are good too (the former has the "hits" and the latter was my favorite when I was very into them), but twtttsd is the one I go back to most now... they had a bit of a heavier sound during that album that I think you'd prefer, lots of feedback and less twinkle like in later albums. I think after aoasime they started sounding kind of same-y

OKAY f*** it first and foremost congratulations to lookylion on the win! this was a great edition to be part of, I've playlisted my top 8 which is the most I've done for one contest I think. fantastic to see my top 3 also taking the medal positions in the exact same order! and also: top 20 wtf!!! :w00t: completely exceeded our expectations, in fact sources tell me the people of pagasa are in danger of sinking the entire archipelago into the ocean from jumping up and down simultaneously in celebration I will thank all the countries who voted for us by name in our national thread but that was definitely more than a handful of medal points, and points from countries we didn't expect! ty ty ty, and thank you addy for the wonderful hosting job, the concept/graphics were top notch and well thought-out throughout!! I do have a cute lil pop song lined up for the next contest or the one after ..... we will see if top 10 is within reach :~)

just came back from work so I'll make a longer post later but I just want to frame this moment in time, for posterity

oooh a 20! thank you rollo and also chez for the high points, and the smattering of points from others wasn't expecting much but now im thinking maybe I should've sent the "hit" from this album sXyRAsBp998

Votes sent, at work so typed it quickly w only artist names sorry!

just doing one more listen through and making some edits to my votes, will send them in in a couple hours love my top 8 btw

I honestly don't buy it, he's an out and out Proud Boy and this is just an attempt to save face knowing he's in danger any time he shows his face in public. lol
