To me this is very “glory and gore” meets mid-10s Rihanna reject (not in a bad way! the “we can’t stop” comparisons track in that sense). it’s a good song, even if it sounds a little out of place with a lot of current pop
if it’s a pop heavy contest they can handle a 10+ minute track or two
“7 minutes is an EP” yeah if you have the lifespan of a mayfly and you’re gonna die in 24 hours maybe. anyway my song is 6 minutes and some change, cry about it!

Tbh I had concerns that sibylle would get lost in the mix considering it’s a pretty understated folk song and it appears early in the running so ending up in 6th is such a pleasant surprise for me! I’m so glad it made that much of an impression to those who voted for it 💕 ty dandy for the wonderful hosting and congrats to Jim on the win! but of course I have to shout out matto for picking stina, she has such a wonderful, fragile voice, and I loved the song ❤️
Not all too familiar with dolly’s music apart from like Jolene, I will always love you and 9 to 5 bc I didn’t grow up with her music, so spiceboy’s entry was my first intro to this particular song. I knew about her background and how it’s influenced her charity work in later life and I found the song to be a nice encapsulation of her past as well as her purpose in later life. So great pick spiceboy 💕 (even if you had insider info about her ill health)
