finally catching up, these results couldn’t have gone better apart from the late voting hiccup on my end! and 3-5 isn’t a nightmare scenario all in all, not just a first top 10 but a first top 5 also a rare moment of synchronicity with the hivemind, voted for the entire top 10 minus altyr and new lexico, but both weren’t far off our top 15, so I’m really in good company here. Ty to everyone who voted and ty especially to @blacksquare for being our biggest cheerleader (and tyra banks when we needed it) 🖤 going back to typical alt bloc pagasa dreck for the next contest 😍

Love this theme 😍 There’s one glaringly obvious (to me) song I can send for this but I feel it (and the artist) is too well-known now, really wish I’d sent it in 2018 when it came out but I wasn’t active on BJSC at the time. In any case I’m trying to save the artist for my 50th anniversary. There’s another song I’ve thought of but I’d have to recycle an artist I’ve already sent, so I’ll probably wait til something else comes to mind

also thank you to everyone who's pointed thus far don't wanna be presumptuous ofc but I haven't won a contest since nuggets 10 years ago so I would be thrilled if it keeps up! a lot of these songs were outside my radar but I made some great discoveries, particularly my top 4. the veronicas in particular was unexpected, really loved that guitar line throughout. also wanna shoutout the yin to the crystal castles yang, the cheeky girls. didn't make my votes but couldn't have asked for a better song to follow "baptism". truly captures the sound of spiritual rebirth. the first song you hear after being slam dunked thrice in holy water; God could not have chosen two better romanian ladies to use as his vessel
