Hendinia hype !

adding to hendinia hype !

I've been rewatching these performances this week for nostalgia reasons, don't have a lot of thoughts other than if she were to release a greatest hits collection at some point, it would be amazing if she could do them in four "suites" similar to these performances—one disc each for pop/dance, dancehall/reggae, R&B/trap, and ballads

maybe they meant she outsold beyoncé when her third album debuted and beyonce's self-titled was in its like 45th week

kind of had a feeling but it's all good! just enjoying the process~ +12: D'yermak'er — WILLOW – Wait a Minute! +10: Q +8: Scherzland — Ellur – I Don't Know What We Are +7: Q +6: Holland-Oats — Ball Park Music – Day & Age +5: Q +4: Q +3: Q +2: Q +1: Q scherzland deserved so much better! reminded me of sky ferreira in parts. surprised d'yermak'er wasn't a veto tbh but it's a bop, though i never gathered r&b that wasn't v poppy would be too popular here anyhow. same w holland-oats and guitar music. ALSO i mentioned in the predix thread that trifoski would be getting my support, that was before i did my second listen and re-ordered my votes! sorry for being a fake fan :'( one of these days i will q again and reach the dizzy heights of 30th place in the final! and with my first entry no less *.* (and worry not, i already have a couple songs lined up for the next one~)

multiple body parts clenched

IxGDNRE-2c0 video for "sad day" came out last week, directed by hiro murai who's directed atlanta/worked w childish gambino on a number of projects sensational

i've really fallen in love with "seven" recently, and a lot of it has to do with the line "i hit my peak at seven feet, with pennsylvania under me". i think it's the first time she's ever mentioned her home state in a song apart from having lived on a christmas tree farm, and imo it really grounds the song in her personal history. it doesn't take place in the back of a pickup truck in a southern backroad or in new york or on a new england beach, it's just her on a swing where she grew up, which is none of those places. i've lived a good part of my life not far from where she grew up, and the whole visual aesthetic album just screams pennsylvanian countryside too, the whole cloudy appalachian feel of it.

sent my votes in! about half of my votes won't make it through if the predix are to be believed

i can assure trifoski they will not go unsupported :~)
