i have an idea for a beautiful little folk album that was recorded in the '70s but released in 2006. it's considered kind of a "lost record" and has quite a cult following but if you guys want to start with something more "classic" then that's cool too.

i feel like that goes against what i've seen of trump supporters, both online and irl, though. they're a passionate bunch, and the things that common sense ( :basil: ) would deem shameful about him are the things that they're vocal about loving. the difference is that, unless they're literally KKK members or neo-nazis, they've somehow convinced themselves that he somehow doesn't represent these dangerous ideologies that *should* be taboo in the 21st f***ing century. or that said ideologies aren't all that dangerous. idk. (who really f***ing knows what goes on in the minds of trump supporters tbh. well i guess a couple of you do, for whatever reason.) or i guess it depends on where you are. to use my state (pennsylvania) as an example, if you're in suburban philadelphia then yeah you might not want to prattle on about trump to everyone you meet. but if you're in a 98% white town in east f***sville county in the middle of pennsyltucky, then the things he's been saying were already par for the course and there's never been much social stigma in the first place. like i'm sure these Secret Trump Voters are out there, i just don't think there are legions of them waiting to upturn the election. and if anything i think maybe the rising poll figures are those shy supporters finally rationalizing their support to themselves and coming out. who knows though, i guess it's hard to gauge these things.

"i remember" is gorgeous though, i don't think it's a capital-B Banger like the other singles but it's emotive and flume's production suits the wistfulness of the lyrics + aluna's vocals so beautifully.

just added 2 of my charts, this week's and last week's. on this week's chart, it lists all the songs as new rather than showing their position changes from last week, so i feel i may have done something wrong? (maybe because i posted this week's chart before last week's? idk.) nvm, i edited it and it seems to have fixed itself. this is a cool idea though, will be making use of it! edit: oh and if you guys are inputting songs manually like i did, you can search the songs and look up their pages, and if you hover over the like button, the NID should be in the url preview, which you should be able to match when you choose one of the song suggestions.

i like the cover; it suggests something a bit more subdued than "perfect illusion" so i'm truly wondering what direction the album's going in. also i don't know how but i've slowly come to appreciate the ridiculousness of the BTW cover tbh
