Sorry that this is a week late, again. The delay from last week really messed up my routine and I'm trying to get it back on track, but I have the data for this week's actual chart so I'll have that chart posted soon enough. And I know I haven't been putting up graphics, but I'll have them up as soon as I stop being lazy :P. In the meantime...

Snakehips' "All My Friends" jumps from #5 to claim the #1 spot. Adele's "Hello" returns to the runner-up position, while last week's #1, Justin Bieber's "Sorry", falls out of the top 10 entirely, landing at #11. Carly Rae Jepsen's "Your Type" climbs up 8-3, a new peak. Below the top 5, Sia's "Alive" returns to its #7 peak from #15, while Carly Rae Jepsen's "LA Hallucinations" makes its top 10 entrance, rising 12-8 and giving Carly her second top-10 hit.

Further down, four songs re-enter the top 20 after falling out in previous weeks, led by Jeremih's "oui", which ascends 24-14. Meanwhile, two songs enter the region for the first time. Beach House's "10:37" blasts 39-18 as this week's Climber, giving Beach House their third top-20 hit. Below them, Kelela's "Rewind" vaults 35-20.

The rest of the chart is unusually quiet. There are four re-entries, led by Carly Rae Jepsen's "Run Away With Me" at #24, and only one debut, Ty Dolla $ign's "Saved" at #40. This week's Free Faller is Grimes' "REALiTi", which drops 11-33.

Hey guys, so first of all, I know this is a week late, but last week, just before I was about to type up the chart, I accidentally deleted my notes on my iPad where I tally up my chart. There was either gonna be a delayed chart or no chart at all, and the completist in me couldn't bear the thought of the latter, so I hooked up my iPad to some recovery software and got most of the note that I deleted. (I relied on memory/guesswork for the rest so maybe this week isn't so accurate. :arrr: ) I'm probably not gonna get to this week's chart until Monday or Tuesday, so I'll just post this one in the meantime.

ANYWAY. Justin Bieber's "Sorry" returns to #1 for a fifth week, while Beach House's "Space Song" blasts 10-2. Last week's #1, Adele's "Hello", falls to #3, and Röyksopp's "I Had This Thing" jumps into the top 5 for the first time 9-4. Meanwhile, MØ's "Kamikaze" jumps 11-6, a new peak.

Further down, three songs re-enter the chart in the top 20: Grimes' "REALiTi" (#11) and "Kill v. Maim" (#14, her third top-20 hit), and Justin Bieber's "I'll Show You" (#17, also his third top-20). The highest-debuting song, meanwhile, is Sufjan Steven's "Sister Winter", which enters at #18. Below Sufjan, Carly Rae Jepsen's "Last Christmas" ascends 35-20 as this week's Climber. This week's Free Faller is Ellie Goulding's "On My Mind", which collapses 16-38.

Finally, down in the bottom half of the chart, we see five debuts, led by Tory Lanez's "Say It" at #26 and Chance the Rapper's "Angels" at #27.

I'd consider #11 a success for Mariah! Everything kind of fell into place for it this year: the early boost thanks to her Thanksgiving Day Parade performance, streaming doing wonders, and the perfectly aligned pre-Xmas tracking week. I wish it had peaked in the top ten, and sadly I don't think it'll have that chance for a few more years due to the pre-Xmas tracking week being split for the next few years, but streaming really helped it out this year and I think it'll regularly hit the top 20 from now on.

As for "IKWYDLS", not sure if it'll be as big as "Stitches", but I think it'll hit the top 20, maybe even the lower rungs of the top 10 if things go well for it.

I thought it was already over with his fans growing up and him being a complete brat but then this album happened. I've not quite fathomed why though. He has quite a thin, whiny voice and it's pretty beige but the songs appear to have taken people.

It's as much to do with his collaborators as with him imo. Skrillex especially; a good chunk of this album (including two singles) wouldn't have happened without him, and he really helped Bieber hone in on a cohesive sound that suits him, where before Bieber would have probably tried his own take on everything.

Do you listen to songs 10 times a day?

Adele's '25' Set for Historic Third Million-Selling Week in U.S.

Adele’s 25 is set for a historic third million-selling week in the U.S., according to industry forecasters.

Those in the know suggest that her red-hot 25 could sell slightly more than a million copies in pure album sales in the week ending Dec. 24 -- its fifth week on sale. That would give the title its third frame of million-plus sales, following its debut week (3.38 million, according to Nielsen Music) and second stanza (1.11 million).

25 is the first album to earn multiple million-plus sales weeks since Nielsen Music began tracking sales in 1991.

As earlier reported, through its fourth week on sale, 25 sold 5.98 million copies, making it the biggest-selling album released in the U.S. since Adele’s last album, 21, which bowed in 2011. The latter title has sold 11.37 million.

25’s sales total for the week ending Dec. 24 is scheduled to be announced on Sunday, Dec. 27, after Nielsen has completed processing its sales data for the week.

so that's 7M for the year on lock, and we still have one more full tracking week to go so it could be approaching 8M for the calendar year when all is said and done.

Is Adele likely to be knocked off #1 anytime soon?

Seems very weird that 'Love Yourself' is "only" #4 when it's a multi-week #1 in the UK, lol.

It should contend for #1 in the next few weeks now that airplay's picking up (#33 debut on Radio Songs this week, and it looks set to dethrone "Hello" on iTunes pretty soon).

(personally I wish it was "Sorry" that was contending for #1 but oh well; maybe it can still sneak in somehow before "LY" and Biebs can self-replace)

I use a complicated points system that I won't bother explaining, but throughout the week I actually use the Notes app on my iPad to tally up my chart. Then at the end of the week I put it all into Excel, where I keep my YTD lists.

As far as archiving my chart, I found this nice little thing called TiddlyWiki, which is basically a wiki you can store on your computer and edit in your browser, and you can pretty much do anything with it. That's where I've been keeping my #1 runs, artist histories, etc. I prefer this to Word as you can keep indices of artists and lists of songs and stuff, just like on Wikipedia, and you can give each artist their individual page with all their chart data, and you can hyperlink to every page instead of throwing it all in a single Word document.
