  1. Much prefer the obscurity of it all :) Makes me more excited to see who sent who!
  2. Really enjoying listening to some old faves, as well as hearing a couple of newbies for the first time Would defo echo Scene’s comments about Scissor Sisters. I liked it at the time but love it even more now. I think it helps learning what the song is about and as a queer person it really resonates Really does look like Abba could fall into trouble here - it’s surely not beyond the realms of possibility that The Chicks and Girlicious could catch them?
  3. I was worried my song didn’t fit the brief but after my first listen through I realise I’m good!
  4. I’m glad I got to give my fave A1 song points!

  6. Rich, your groups vote further increase my suspicions!!!
  7. I am a huge Nelly Furtado fan and im really hoping there’s some rep from the Folklore era or maybe another song from Whoa, Nelly! Although expecting Loose will feature heavily
  8. That’s funny - I’d give similar names for The Corrs and The Chicks And you’d be top of both of those lists!!!
  9. If Rich is not Delta, I want to be a fly on the wall when each Delta song is revealed!
  10. Of the 3 categories the groups is stacked!
  11. Abba have such a strong and consistent discography in my opinion So most of their album tracks would be a good choice for me!
  12. Sounds like a Spider-Man villain Love it
  13. Let’s all change our names! Horbs
  14. ooooh excited to explore Most of these are unknown to me
  15. My fave two songs from one of the artists have come up straight away!
  16. I say Imposter because of the film!
  17. Awww old school Corrs And damn this round features one of my all time favourites
  18. Can’t even remember what I guessed but think I got 0/3!
  19. Nicely surprised about the variety here. Theres a couple of songs here I already like/love but excited to hear everything else :)
  20. What a choice, remember loving this back in the day!
  21. Surely it the imposters include any of the bottom 2 in the male/groups category, the surviving artist has very little chance of making it to round 3?
  22. 15 Madonna ft Justin Timberlake 4 Minutes #2s held off #1: Sam Sparro - Black & Gold, Wiley - Wearing My Rolex Next up is the Queen of reinvention, Madonna. I can't believe this is actually the last of her 13 number one singles in the UK! Two years before, Madonna had released her critically acclaimed dance record 'Confessions on a Dancefloor', which featured number one singles 'Hung Up' and 'Sorry'. But sticking to her usual tactic of a reinvention for every era, she returned in 2008 with a electronic/hip-hop/funk/RnB fusion in 'Hard Candy'. This was the lead single from the album, produced by man of the moment Timbaland and featuring a singer of the moment in Justin Timberlake. It was a combination that pretty much guaranteed the song a number one position, a position it held for 4 weeks. At the time I remember thinking this song was good, but not on the same level as peak Madonna. I also preferred the first song it stopped from getting to number one - 'Black & Gold' by Sam Sparro. Still, it got Madonna back into the limelight and continued to show her as a force to be reckoned with - especially in a music industry that isn't always kind to older female artists.
  23. Comeback starts now!
