Nelly Furtado - pop perfection. Everything is great about this song and the album is soooo underrated (imo) Delta Goodrem - not my fave song of hers but a good return and hope it does well for her Lily Allen - not my fave of hers either but better than what I’ve ranked below Kesha - there’s a theme here for me Chappell Roan - grew on me with repeat listens Rosalía - love the vocals, song didn’t grow on me much though Kelly Clarkson - wanted to like this more Lisa - alright FKA Twigs - liked the vocals, song didn’t do much for me

The Weeknd - just an out and out great pop song Troye Sivan - I’m a sucker for a song that pulls at the heartstrings and that’s what this song did for me George Michael - such a nice soulful song. It makes me sad that people have commented that this song is boring. Conan Gray - nice pop song Ruel - like the hook, could have done with it being bigger Eric Saade - I debated for ages about sending a song where my act is a featured artist, I’m kinda glad I didn’t. This is nice but it took me out of it with Eric being only featured Nik Kershaw - grew on me a little over repeat listens Fred Again - like the vocals David Bowie - I always loved what he did with this song/album, for his fans, but just not a fan of the song sadly

The Corrs - such an amazing pop song, I firmly believe if this had been released in their Breathless era it would have been another number one Haim - adore this song and the video is wonderfully simplistic and awesome Abba - a staple Abba song Scissor Sisters - underrated gem by them, actually really enjoyed seeing it live last year Atomic Kitten - bought this when it came out and loved it, then heard the original and I liked this less! But still a solid choice The Chicks - bravo for them getting this far, even if this is the end of the road. A good song that builds well Florence - I prefer other songs by them Blondie - I like but again prefer other songs by them Erasure - found it only alright

Yeah of the 3 categories, this round is the most wild for voting. Each of the 9 acts has had good and bad rankings

Tbh I’ve had one person rank me bottom multiple times and I kind of wish they’d stop saying that they don’t like my artist…. I’m more intrigued to see comments for the upper rankings - e.g Bowie’s last song, Lisa’s last song, most of The Chicks songs have received a lot of low votes with occasional top rankings and id love more insight into why people put them near the top (whether I agree or not). I feel like that would increase my appreciation for the subjectivity of music :)

I can see this growing on me with repeat listens - although can't see it getting anywhere near my fave. Could do well with voting public though

I quite like that Ruel has 'I Can Die Now' and The Chicks have a chorus that includes the lyric 'Strut the f*** around like you've got nothing to lose' So poetic! Both have done really well to get this far, especially against much more established artists (throw Lisa in there as well!)

I just hope she gets another proper hit She’s released so many songs that should have smashed already…

Early predictions Boys - there ain’t no way the alt voters will let Bowie get eliminated, so think Ruel will be struggling to get through. Think the nearest to him will be Fred Again Girls - can’t see Lisa making it through. Could see FKA, Rosalía or Kesha being the next acts Groups - it might get the odd good vote but ain’t no way The Chicks are surviving this round! Couldn’t call who The Chicks could challenge as I can see Erasure/Blondie both getting solid votes from a lot of people and the Scissor Sisters song is just too iconic
