Ms Amos?

My rule of thumb - take predictions of my song and drop it at least 10 positions!

Should be a fun evening Personally hoping to make round 2 in this and then hoping to achieve my best ever result in BJSC (or finish in my usual 25-40 region…)

Paffendorf

Vengaboys - We Like To Party - great first choice. Pop joy Texas - When We Are Together - another great first choice. Great vocals Bananarama - Na Na Hey Hey - forgot this song existed but a nice catchy tune Years & Years - Take Shelter - could be bigger but solid opener Sade - The Sweetest Taboo - soulful vocals and nice song overall M83 - Oblivion - keep forgetting how it goes but found myself entranced with every listen Ultravox - Sleepwalk - like the sound, wanted more from the chorus Dead or Alive - Misty Circles - grew on me with repeat listens Fontaines D.C - A Lucid Dream - looking forward to hearing stuff from them as love me some Irish music. Depeche Mode - See You - know there’s bigger to come New Order - Ruined In A Day - meh iamamiwhoami - Play - wanted to like it This was the category I struggled with the most but I think I will like a lot of songs from these artists in future rounds

Dido - White Flag - probably my fave song of this round. Takes me back to uni days and receiving Life For Rent right at the start of term and being completely obsessed. She has many amazing songs in her back catalogue Marina & The Diamomds - Bubblegum Bitch - Electra Heart is one of my all time fave pop albums and this is a tuuune Sophie Ellis Bextor - Music Gets The Best of Me - forgot how great this song is. Her voice sounds amazing on it Adele - Hello - powerhouse Queen Tove Lo - Influence - catchy pop song that should not be at risk imo Leona Lewis - Better In Time - solid ballad and great vocals Agnes - Selfmade - risky choice but I liked this Jessie Ware - Sauna - started to grow on me after I initially found it underwhelming Kate Bush - Hounds of Love - like but don’t love Zara Larsson - Love Me Land - wanted a bigger chorus Robyn - Talk To Me - liked but didn’t feel like a single to me Milica Pavlovic - Ona Nasi Pradu - didn’t do much for me The strongest set of songs for me. Think it’s shame one of these will be eliminated - especially if it’s Tove Lo

Lewis Capaldi - Hold Me While You Wait - always loved this song and that chorus is epic Damien Rice - 9 Crimes - beautiful song, beautiful video. Yeah I always found it odd that Lisa is not credited Tom Grennan - Found What I’ve Been Looking for - an out and out banger Sam Smith - Diamonds - a solid first song choice HRVY - Hasta Luego - catchy pop number Calvin Harris - Feels So Close - love the verses, chorus always thought was ok Mackenzy Mackey - liked this, interested to hear more Roosevelt - Luna - wanted to hear the lyrics more but liked Darin - Lovekiller - great build up to the chorus but not a fan of the chorus. No substance Sam Fender - Chin Up - liked but found forgettable Gary Numan - We Are Glass - thought I was starting to like it but didn’t excite me Bladee - Cartier’God Icedancer (Intermission) - please refer to famous Thumper quote This is the category that interested me the most and fascinating to see some songs alternate between the top and bottom of peoples votes. Will make for interesting future rounds. There are at least 4 artists here that I like numerous songs for

Just updated my stats. Herbilore voting for multiple nations for the first time!!!

You’re going to enjoy my ranking…..!

Deepest Blue vs whoever the vote transfers to

Think this is the category that is going to require more listen throughs for me I struggle with the 80’s sound sometimes, especially when the vocals are not the star!

People dissing HRVY when there is a song in there with shockingly awful lyrics!

Am I listening to a different Tove Lo track?! Really not getting the hate

Mis-teeq

You'll see when my song is revealed :)

Jaz needs to post more - is that subtle enough for you Bror?!

😮 GD gave me nothing - don’t remember the last time that happened 😜 Glad to be off zero though

Someone mentioned their ballad before (which I adooooooore), but even that could be a risky move. Interesting though that the groups and solo men seems more accessible for risky choices vs the female solo category who will be eliminated with one minor mis-step!

Would love them to do well but the person behind them needs to be clever - they don’t have as many big hitters as other acts

Does feel like Zara, Robyn, Agnes and Tove Lo are all struggling I actually thought Jessie might have struggled

I actually don’t think I know the difference between the taste of Dr Pepper and Cherry Cola
