iTunes Album Chart ~ 2024
iTunes Album Chart now totally meaningless, nothing to factor in how long an Album has been available pre-Order. Likely Albums recently made Pre-Order will be higher than Albums with a long period of availability to order.

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2022
Come on Tears For Fears! Think they may just get the #1.

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2022
https://kworb.net/charts/aitunes/uk.html Adele back to number 1 on iTunes, guess The Weeknd will have enough with streaming this week to hold off Adele.

New Release Schedule: Friday 24 & 31 December
The Weeknd dropping a new Album “Dawn FM” on Friday!

Who will be #1 on the 12th of November release week
I went for Abba a month ago but thinking now Rod Stewart’s chances are higher, he has a perfectly timed Graham Norton Show appearance on Friday and looks like he is giving this Album a big push!

Album Numbers 1s over the next few weeks.
ABBA night on BBC 2 next Saturday night should help that second week

Who will be #1 on the 12th of November release week
Also that week Damon Albarn is following up a debut solo Album which got to #2. Given the busy Release week think Damon might be lucky to get Top 10.

Who will be #1 on the 12th of November release week
Tough one to judge but probably Ed.

Album Chart Battle: The Script vs. Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga
Yes I also went for The Script given it is their first compilation Album and 5 out of 6 Studio Albums made it to the top. I am slightly surprised by the really low Sales for Genesis compilation this week but I guess they have released a few compilations over the years!

Album Chart Battle: The Script vs. Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga
There is an 'Outsider' released that week...by Roger Taylor! In fairness he has only made the Top 20 Albums once before with a Solo release but surely in current climate will do this time! As for next week that is looking a really low Sales week unless there is a surprise Release.

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2021
Still see enough on the Release Schedule and also Olivia Rodrigo's Album to keep number 1 Sales above 10k over the summer. In other words and even though we are in Olympic year :) I don't think we will get close to a new record low!

Olympic Album Sales - a new low?
Well it happens every four years and it is nearly upon us...feel like we are in for a bumper year of new lows!
-
iTunes Album Chart ~ 2020
Could yet still be that Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott finish above Deacon Blue overall but there is an upward trend with Deacon Blue's chart positions and given the reviews of "City Of Love" suspect they will make the Top 10 again for the first time since 1994 !

Olympic Album Sales - a new low?
Given the low Album Sales this week I thought I would give this thread a bump as it is a safe assumption that someone will be competing with Blossoms for the unenviable title of lowest weekly sales for #1 Album. After all it happens every four years. Ironic looking at this thread again that Bieber’s last Album was reduced to £5.99 four years ago in an (unsuccessful) attempt to get to #1.

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2020
Pet Shop Boys will sell more than previous Album, hope it is enough to get the #1 overall.
-
iTunes Album Chart ~ 2020
I would have thought Top 5 is achievable but not #1 especially with Stormzy and Lewis Capaldi Albums still selling at around £5.

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2020
Selena should go Top 10 (Overall) with this Album though which will be the first time for her. Personally think 'Rare' is a poor title for an Album as for some it could imply it contains rare cuts (eg David Bowie's 'Rare' and others).

What is the biggest song to never reach top 100?
Queen - "We Will Rock You" clearly wins this one - it was never released as a Single back in the day (1977), it was the B Side of "We Are The Champions" but has sold enough in it's own right as it has been used in so many places over the years!

Y/E T100 Albums (with estimated sales)
Very interesting list Vidcapper, thanks as always for this. Always find it interesting to see which number 1's from the year missed the Y/E T100 - looks like it was the eclectic group of Michael Ball (Solo Album) Slipknot Dermot Kennedy Elbow Foals (Second Album) Stereophonics The Script A bit ironic that the First Foals Album of the year that got to #2 made it in the Y/E T100 but their Second Album of the year that got to #1 didn't! I guess if we are looking for the luckiest Albums of the year to get to #1 this is the list (possibly with exception of Stereophonics and The Script which were released late in the year).

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2019
Pleasing to see Lana's "Norman F*****g Rockwell!" back in Top 10, not sure whether it has been reduced anywhere but I have seen appearing in a lot of Year End Lists of Best Albums, richly deserved.

iTunes Weekly Thread W/C 22nd November 2019
Well I have it in my library from when Google Play gave it away for free in 2014. Those were the days when they sold current Albums for 99p as well!

YTD T40 Albums (with estimated sales)
Top 3 very close now. Wouldn't like to say who will be in pole position next week. It is looking increasingly likely that Ed Sheeran will triumph in the Year End chart but somehow feel Lewis Capaldi will benefit significantly from many TV appearances in the run-in to Xmas.
