iTunes Album Chart ~ 2024
iTunes Album Chart now totally meaningless, nothing to factor in how long an Album has been available pre-Order. Likely Albums recently made Pre-Order will be higher than Albums with a long period of availability to order.

Friday Chart Predictions
Yes, the biggest selling #2 of All time amongst the rereleases- would be great to see The Dark Side Of The Moon get to #1 finally but a long shot next week I think

Friday Chart Predictions
Always thought this week was his better chance to get #1, surprised the Vinyl was not distributed this week! Looking tight but could have been an easy one if record company had played it more strategically.

People’s loss if they don’t - in addition Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt solo material excellent!

Absolutely, should hopefully beat their highest peaking Album (Walking Wounded which got to #4).

Friday Chart Predictions
The Feeling not even in Top 100? Sales of Album must be negligible!

Friday Chart Predictions
Also thought she would be in Top 10 but shows how much her popularity is on the wane. Any news on The Feeling? I was a bit surprised to see Album out of stock on Amazon but I guess initial stocks were low.

Friday Chart Predictions
The big question for me this week is how many new entries in Top 10 Albums, shaping up for a clear out with that collection of new Albums or may be just Ed holding on?

Friday Chart Predictions
Great Sales for TFF, suspect they may need 21k+ Sales to secure the #1. Curt and Roland were on “This Morning” today to keep the momentum going!

Friday Chart Predictions
Yes I’m thinking Sales will be good for Tears For Fears as well, it is 17 years since last Studio Album so hard to judge on Sales but they have really prepared for this comeback. Reviews are positive and also they are ticking the multiple releases box as well!

iTunes Album Chart ~ 2022
Come on Tears For Fears! Think they may just get the #1.
-
Friday Chart Predictions
Whilst I would agree with you ordinarily but with Release event scheduled for 22.2.22 (or 2.22.22 in US format) think it may just happen then.

Think Kanye is releasing Donda 2 half way through week, should have enough to secure top spot!

Friday Chart Predictions
Similar to The Weeknd who has had album peaks of 1-5-1-1 (after his first Album peaked at 12)

Friday Chart Predictions
In fairness Duran Duran was reduced to £7 on the week of release but not the Deluxe Version which has not been below £14. Similarly, Paul Weller's Hardback version has not been below £19 and Elvis Costello has not been reduced yet. Y&Y have reduced their Deluxe Version by £7 (ie more than 50%) and that is a bigger margin than other recent examples.

Friday Chart Predictions
Missing the point again, I mentioned "established Artists" so the likes of recent Albums from Elvis Costello, Duran Duran, Oasis, Paul Weller and Sting for example. 95% is an exaggeration, a lot of this discussion is focused on the top end of the Chart and I would acknowledge is happens more than 50% there.

Friday Chart Predictions
Don't think the midweek reduction happens as much as 95% (or even close to that). May be for the Albums that need to improve/stabilize their chart position but not for a lot of established Artists (where the chart position is less important). My issue with it is there will be some fans (and I don't include myself in this category) who want their copy on day of release - these are the ones that are paying over the odds and that doesn't seem right

Friday Chart Predictions
The Years & Years Deluxe version of "Night Call" being reduced to £5.99 shows the levels they will go to hold on to number #1, not sure it will be enough now though. I paid £12.99 on Sunday (from Amazon) for the Deluxe CD, I returned it today though - and ordered another at £5.99, wonder whether that counts as 2 Sales lol.
