  1. How many CD's do we think Take That will sell this week (given CD1 is 16 in the Amazon Best Sellers and CD2 is 24)? I guess less than 10k.
  2. Fair enough, they are going all out this week then.
  3. According to Official Charts web-site they are performing Saturday 25th Official Confirmation
  4. Also it's half term this week (for most areas), I don't think there are too many early risers during half term week...

I agree re TT, they should still be strong enough for a week - Q1 has been fairly strong for new Releases, James Blunt, Depeche Mode, Zara Larsson, Tinie Tempah & Paul Weller would probably challenge for the top spot if they had held back to Q2 or Q3 but they will probably all miss out.

Think you may be forgetting Stormzy's Album - released on the 24th February. I agree re Rag 'N' Bone man holding on this week though. BRITS week is traditionally a week with no major releases although the fact that the ceremony is on Wednesday Evening reduces the impact on this week's chart.
  7. I thought they were performing (with Robbie) the following weekend during the Final? Would be a bit much to perform this weekend as well...
  8. I'm guessing he is all ready top now but will be confirmed tomorrow!
  9. Performed on "The One Show" last night, a Valentine's Day Special Performance by 10cc!
  10. I would argue that Queen have three songs more well known than "Don't Stop Me Know" that peaked at number 2, "We Are The Champions", "We Will Rock You", "Radio Gaga". EDIT - In fairness to BillyH he did mention those songs as well 😀
  11. Very underwhelming performance so far for a lead single from Katy Perry given her track record of lead number 1's from first 3 Albums! Will still continue to climb but not shaping up to match previous successes.

Yes, you are right although I suppose technically The La La Land Album is a Motion Picture Cast Recording even though it is listed as Various Artists. Looking forward to them all being Elbow-ed down the chart tomorrow...
  13. Hope they can stay on track!
  14. DVD for "Bridget Jones's Baby" out yesterday, I guess that explains the latest boost!

Top 5 now all from Various Artists (including music from both Trainspotting films), Pete Tong the highest Artist album at 6. Looks like he will be on course for a second week at the top overall.

Top 4 on iTunes Albums all from Various Artists (and 7 out of Top 10), showing what a strong start to the year for.....Movies!

I do think it is between Pete Tong & La La Land OST for the overall #1 this week - Pete Tong Album is down to £4.99 on Amazon as well, I think his record company sense this week could be his best chance.

Pete Tong back on top, looks like "The One Show" appearance has helped.

Oh, great, thanks for the clarification - looking promising then!

La La Land (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) still top (and top of Amazon Best Sellers as well). Should be ok for the top spot overall this week especially after the Weekend boost (Oscar Nominations are next Thursday and won't affect this week's chart).
  21. May be because she pulled out of the Donald Trump inauguration :) ITV News: British singer and The X Factor alumni Rebecca Ferguson was invited to but won't be performing at the inauguration.
  22. Shame that Ed's Album is coming out the same week as the Re-release of George Michael's "Listen Without Prejudice" as I thought initially there was potential for a posthumous number 1 for George. George's Record company should consider moving the Re-release forward to one of the 2 previous weeks (could tie-in with a Brits tribute).

Unless Zara Larsson releases that week, still no exact Release date for her Album although it was slated for January.

Yes - the Reviews have been good as well. I agree it should get an easy number 1 this week, the question is whether it will be able to get a second week at the top as well (as I don't see much competition next week).
