Ok the Song may not be to your taste but the cause is commendable "International Missing Children's Day", it is good to see people Supporting it on this basis.

It's an oldie but surely "Maniac" by Michael Sembello "should have charted higher" than number 43 ! Evidence: Got to number 1 in US, Still gets the occasional outing on tv/radio, Appeared in a successful film.

Also a new single from Super Furry Animals, another 90s Indie fave! This is another Welsh Euro 2016 Anthem as well as from the Manics. I can see the Stereophonics getting on board as well at this rate. In fairness though Wales haven't qualified for a major tournament since 1958 and I don't think they even did football Anthems back then! To paraphrase Baddiel and Skinner (who could yet get a re-release this summer) that's "58 Years Of Hurt" !

As predicted: BBC4 plans to celebrate Prince's career tonight in a late change to the TV schedules. The channel confirmed that it would be showing a repeat of Prince: A Purple Reign this Friday 22nd April at 10pm, originally shown as part of its Black Music Legends of the 1980s series. The documentary will also be shown on Saturday night at 10.30pm.

It has been reported that Prince had approximately 2000 unreleased Songs in a vault, whilst obviously a lot will not be of the same quality we have come to expect at least the Prince fans can console themselves with the prospects of some gems emerging over time. Really pleased to see "Raspberry Beret" doing so well, 25 was a criminally low peak for that song. Suspect it won't get a new peak but hope it does...

I will be surprised if we don't see a proper Tribute to Prince on British TV in coming days that will give his songs a further boost. The News item last night was relegated after the Queen's celebrations - it seemed a bit rushed for a Legend such as Prince.

Also may be to do with the rendition of the Song by 40,000 at Anfield last night that was broadcast on BT Sport Europe!

ABC will release The Lexicon Of Love II, the follow-up to the iconic, million-selling album of 1982, on 27 May on Virgin EMI. The new set contains ten new songs by Martin Fry, who co-produced it with Gary Stevenson. The first single from The Lexicon Of Love II is 'Viva Love', 'Viva Love' had its worldwide radio debut on Ken Bruce's show on BBC Radio 2 on Tuesday. Not sure whether this is an old song from ABC as they previously had a Song out called 'Viva Love' as part of download of re-release of "Abracadabra" in 2005.

The Release Schedule is getting thinner by the week, it looks like we are in for a few months of low Sales in Singles & Albums. Wonder when the run of British Artists at the top of Album chart will come to an end (assume it will be when Beyoncé releases her new Album unless that is a botched Tidal Release)

Here's One for you: "One Show" performance tonight by All Saints of "One Woman Man" seems to have given a boost to "One Strike". Have people bought the wrong One? Well last Album was Studio 1, they will be hoping this Performance ensures the latest one does better than number 40 :)

I think there is a chance "The Voice" Winner's Single may get to the top of iTunes chart on Sunday or Monday if last year's performance is anything to go by. The viewing figures have gone down in this Fifth Series but there are still a few good singers in the Final and it would be quite a story if Kevin Simm wins. Last year's winner had the advantage of the regional sales (number 1 in Scotland) but if they get the Song right it could do well in what is a relatively low-Sales week.

Not a girl group I know but Blur returned after 12 years with a Number 1 UK Album (and their best performing Album globally in terms of chart positions).

New Single from Pink released on April 15th - first single in 3 years - "Just Like Fire" from upcoming Disney Film "Alice Through The Looking Glass".

I was kinda hoping that "Pop Kids" by Pet Shop Boys would make some sort of impression on the Top 100, the CD was released last week but after a performance on The Graham Norton Show I expected it be a bit higher than 164 ! The EP is 138 in the Albums which again is quite low given the sluggish nature of the Album chart at the moment.

Another future single: Manic Street Preachers are set to release the official anthem for Wales' appearance at Euro 2016. Called Together Stronger (C'mon Wales), the song celebrates the team qualifying for a major football championships for the first time in more than 50 years. The band met up with the squad on Monday to film an accompanying video. It will be released on 20 May and raise money for the Princes Gate Trust and Tenovus Cancer Care.
