Still should be in range 10k to 15k ?

Pete Tong Album to be the biggest competition to The La La Land Soundtrack for the top spot!

I do think it is between Pete Tong & La La Land OST for the overall #1 this week - Pete Tong Album is down to £4.99 on Amazon as well, I think his record company sense this week could be his best chance.

Pete Tong back on top, looks like "The One Show" appearance has helped.

Oh, great, thanks for the clarification - looking promising then!

La La Land (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) still top (and top of Amazon Best Sellers as well). Should be ok for the top spot overall this week especially after the Weekend boost (Oscar Nominations are next Thursday and won't affect this week's chart).
  7. May be because she pulled out of the Donald Trump inauguration :) ITV News: British singer and The X Factor alumni Rebecca Ferguson was invited to but won't be performing at the inauguration.

I agree that "Coexist" was not as good as their Debut Album but there has been 4 and a half years since "Coexist" and in the interim Jamie XX released an excellent critically acclaimed Album. Also "On Hold" is on the verge of becoming their highest charted Single (it will do it stays at 33 or improves on that). This era is definitely shaping up well and with a number 2 position on US iTunes for the Album their star is still on the rise!
  9. Shame that Ed's Album is coming out the same week as the Re-release of George Michael's "Listen Without Prejudice" as I thought initially there was potential for a posthumous number 1 for George. George's Record company should consider moving the Re-release forward to one of the 2 previous weeks (could tie-in with a Brits tribute).

Unless Zara Larsson releases that week, still no exact Release date for her Album although it was slated for January.

Yes - the Reviews have been good as well. I agree it should get an easy number 1 this week, the question is whether it will be able to get a second week at the top as well (as I don't see much competition next week).

Ed impressing in the Album update with a return to the top 10 for 'X'. Next week The XX will join him in the Top 10.

Low Sales for You Me At Six in the Album update, wouldn't be surprised to see Little Mix stay at number 1 this week or even Pete Tong to steal it. Fantastic to see George Michael and David Bowie also in the Top 5.

That is quite a statement you make given the "quality" of previous Christmas Number 1's, seems you prefer the likes of Mr Blobby, Renée and Renato and Bob The Builder.

Suspect Pete Tong et al will be competing in Top 3 as well.

Yes will be interesting if Mike Oldfield gets to the top, there are only 2 tracks on the Album (it is a query for another day but wonder whether there has ever been a number 1 album with 2 or even just the 1 track). Those 2 weeks are really up for grabs given the lack of major Releases. May be George Michael's Record company will get their act together by then.

If I'm not mistaken The XX Album is released a week tomorrow ie the 13th, You Me At Six are releasing Album tomorrow (they got to top with previous Album in 2014).

Technically ratio has been reduced by a third... Re singles sales Ed could not have picked a better market to return to (assuming it is a Single he is releasing tomorrow). Re albums I see it has all gone a bit Pete Tong for Ball & Boe...

I was also expecting "Ladies & Gentlemen" to be higher but as CD is still "Temporarily out of Stock" on Amazon that will presumably mean that all those CD Sales from last week/this week will be added at some point (in a similar way to a Pre-order I guess) when finally there is availability to distribute?

Still no CD Stock for "Ladies & Gentlemen" is a big shame, was hoping it would at least climb into Top 5.
  21. New music from London Grammar, how exciting. "Rooting For You" all ready up to 48.
  22. Definitely not The Sun, there was a George Michael Tribute night on BBC4 last night!
  23. Thanks for that girlsaloudjunkie, I had overlooked Madonna but she did indeed have a higher percentage than George Michael over first 3 Studio Albums - surprising to see that "Everybody" and "Burning Up" didn't chart but after that it was Top 20 Singles all the way..
  24. Agreed but It would be good to see whether George Michael wins out over the 3 Albums so if anyone has any ideas on that it would be appreciated.
  25. Yes an impressive release schedule from third Album ("Come On Over") but even 2nd Album failed to yield a Single that made the Top 75 in UK (not sure the eight Singles released from the Album were all released in UK). It would have been a bit of a stretch to release 8 Singles from an Album none of which were a Hit in the UK.
