  1. Ah ok, thanks - sorry.
  2. Another Christmas Album to add to the list: Tom Chaplin - Twelve Tales Of Christmas (Nov 17)
  3. Eminem reportedly releasing an Album on Friday 17th November, it will be tough luck for Paloma if that is the case, destined to be the perennial runner-up. Curiously there is a new Eminem release ('Living Proof') that has appeared in the Amazon pre-order chart for 10th Nov, I'm guessing this is not the new Studio Album though, it would be interesting if it was - Taylor is releasing that week.
  4. A disappointing total of 16,153 (came in at #6).
  5. Main competition will come from Robert Plant who I can see opening on 30k+, think Pink will get the #1 spot comfortably though. My prediction: 1. Pink 2. Robert Plant 3. Liam Gallagher 4. Beck 5. Ed Sheeran Top 10 entries from St. Vincent and Squeeze entirely possible as well. It is great to see 80s Artists such as Squeeze challenging for Top 10 almost every week at the moment.
  6. Boosted by all the media coverage (BBC, NME etc), can't help feel it was an intentional move on his part to gain a bit more publicity this week..
  7. 26. Holy Mountain - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Do we have a total? Mint Royale has tweeted that Liam's Sales are about a Quarter of Ed's first day Sales which were 232k so that would probably put Liam in the range 50k-58k ? Doubt Liam will make 100k but decent Sales nonetheless.

Unfortunately last year showed an improvement in it's fortunes from previous year, the increasing influence of streaming on the Album market will probably guarantee a Top 10 peak each year for a few years yet! 2011 peaked at #1 (11 weeks) 2012 peaked at #2 (6 weeks) 2013 peaked at #7 (8 weeks) 2014 peaked at #7 (8 weeks) 2015 peaked at #12 (9 weeks) 2016 peaked at #6 (10 weeks)

Physically I am sure he is in Vancouver where he lives. In terms of Album progress, 573. To be Loved - Michael Bublé 1049. Christmas (Deluxe Special Edition) - Michael Bublé I am hoping that his Christmas Album gets overshadowed by Sia's Christmas Release this year. Btw it is pleasing to see Dire Straits' 'Brothers In Arms' doing so well at the moment (currently #47), I suppose this is on the back of Mark Knopfler's appearance on The Killers Album?
  11. 99. The Traveling Wilburys - End of the Line (Remastered 2016) A classic featuring Tom Petty on lead vocals, somehow only got to #52 officially first time round.

"Greatest Hits" by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers starting to climb at a fast rate after the awful news of Tom Petty's passing. May be yet another new/re-entry in Top 20 overall this week (previously peaked at #18). "Full Moon Fever" likely to show greatest increase in Sales as well.
  13. 'End Of The Line' by Traveling Wilburys ? RIP Tom Petty.

Wolf Alice's Debut Album ('My Love Is Cool') opened at #2 in 2015 with Sales of 13,891, I think they should exceed that number this time and that will be enough to (at least) beat Ed's Sales. Shania's Sales are hard to predict given she hasn't released a Studio Album for 15 years but in the past she has been able to count on huge Album Sales, this time though the Reviews have not been too kind however she should still get enough Sales for #1 surely.

Price has all ready been reduced to £7.99, suspect it could be one compilation too many for some fans |

Yes, definitely shaping up to be one of the more unpredictable weeks, one of those weeks where the Albums doing well on iTunes are not at the very top of the Amazon Best Sellers. I agree it is looking like a Shania/Wolf Alice 1-2 though. Benny Andersson's Album seems to have got a fair bit of momentum from his TV appearance this week and should make Top 10.

Yes, released for streaming last Friday.

Boost linked to Netflix Documentary...or something else?
  19. This Album ('Tell Me You Love Me') seems to be performing poorly in the New Release Chart (currently #80 on Amazon), I wonder whether I was being optimistic predicting a Top 10 position, apart from the other Albums all ready mentioned as being Top 10 potentials in the same release week (Shania, Wolf Alice, Michael Jackson, Miley and Jamie Lawson) there are other Albums performing better in pre-release ie Chris Rea, Neil Finn and Benny Andersson as well. Looking like being a very interesting week.
  20. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' Album 'Who Built The Moon?' now confirmed for Friday November 24th.

Agree with most of those weeks except maybe Stereophonics beating Michael Ball & Alfie Boe on release week (over Christmas period M.B. & A.B. should get a week at #1 though). Also not completely sure about Niall Horan making it to #1 Album, George Michael re-release should do well but indeed looks a week where lower Sales may be enough.
  22. Didn't realise Sia had another track out today - 'Rainbow', on further investigation it is from My Little Pony - The Movie :) Sia is really the Queen of the Movie Songs unfortunately not many make an impact at the moment, over last 12 months she has had Music on Wonder Women, Lion, Fifty Shades and several other less successful Films. Top marks for workload though.
  23. Certainly a competitive week that week, there are 2 follow-ups to number 1 Albums (Miley Cyrus and Jamie Lawson), Wolf Alice (who peaked at #2 with their Debut), a Michael Jackson compilation which always seem to sell well and Shania Twain who will probably triumph over all? Given The Killers, Ed and Rag 'N' Bone Man will probably still be above 10k the best Demi can hope for is low top 10. In her favour she is still on an upward trajectory with the peak positions of her Albums (#6 last time in 2015 with 'Confident' and #10 in 2013 with 'Demi'). 'Confident' opened with Sales of 9,444, think Sales will be similar this time.

Nice boost for Rag 'N' Bone Man after his appearance on ITV1 last night ('The Jonathan Ross Show'): 2 Human (Deluxe Edition) - Rag 'N' Bone Man 9 Human (Regular Edition) - Rag 'N' Bone Man
  25. Bonnie Tyler performed 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart' live on a cruise ship, it was broadcast live on CNN during the count down to the Eclipse, not sure about other News channels. No, I'm not making it up, fair play to her for reminding everyone who she is.
